General Motors introduces the new Chevrolet Volt. The Volt is an electric car with an extended range. Propulsion is taken care of by an electric engine. The lithium ion battery charges enough energy to drive the car without using any gas and only on electric power for around 65 kilometers. Officially, the Volt is scheduled for market launch in the USA in 2010.
