Jane Ehrhardt is part of the 2008 Quebec Emerging Artists compilation. I checked out some of her new tracks at Quai des Brumes in Montreal. She mixes a bit of funk and soul into her folksy songs, although her show was stripped down to just an accoustic level. I talked with her about how she got started.
