Part One of the Trilogy Ojos Que No Ven (eyes that don’t see).
According to Jean Paul Sartre, humanity acts through ignorance:
We look for love, justice and god because we don’t know what
they are. We go through life after hypothesis that we will never
understand. But once on a while we just get tired of the
superficiality of life; of chasing after hypothesis. This is the
surreal story of the last day of Octavio; an indifferent Mexican
immigrant who becomes nauseated by the hypothesis of the
American culture and Cabezon; a depressed German immigrant, nauseated by the idea of the superstructure represented by the American dream.
