His family and I have grown immensely close in recent months. âBilly's Conscienceâ derives its name from my portrayal of Billyâs personal and intimate trials in the past 16 months. Billyâs mysterious and ever-worsening ailment remains undiagnosed after 5 hospitals and 16 months, so doctors have named it "Billy's Disease" after him. I wrote âBillyâs Conscienceâ from Billyâs perspective and it reflects how he feels about his wife and children at this painful juncture in his life. Despite his circumstances, Billyâs internal strength and zest for life are truly refreshing and shine brightly. This song aims to shed light on Billyâs plight and to help unite a strong community of support around him and his family. The song echoes the words resounding deep in Billyâs heart.
