Celebrity Cook Performs Live Show and Shares Recipes Just in Time for the Holidays
For many of us, the holidays are all about family and good food, like mom’s homemade pumpkin pie and cranberry salad. Just in time for the holidays, celebrity cook Paula Deen brought some of her “down-home” personality and traditional Southern cooking to the troops at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.
In a thank you salute, Deen along with the 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus, took to the stage and entertained over 600 troops. Paula’s husband, Michael, joined her on stage to help introduce a few distinguished guests. The pair also shared family stories with the crowd.
In addition to performing a live show, Deen visited with injured troops and new mothers at the medical center. There she signed cookbooks and took photos with the patients while sharing favorite recipes, stories and holiday ideas.
