This 5 minute video is about beautiful watercolor paintings done by children of Calcutta Rescue's two non-formal schools which provide nearly 300 slum children with free education. Mr. Suprakash Mondal is the art teacher for the past 5 years. He says that it is great to see that many children who were unable to express their feelings vocally may in fact be able to do it through their art work.
Exhibiton titled, "DREAM-children of Calcutta" is scheduled to be held in Tokyo's gallery ecLig, from coming February 12th till end of March (2008).
I hope that people will come to see the show, if you happen to be in Tokyo area.
