FAMILY BUILDS “REMYVILLE” A GAWAD KALINGA VILLAGE
Relatives and friends pitch in to build an entire village for the poorest of the poor in the Philippines.
For the family and friends of Remedios Budaño Monteagudo, the best way to honor her memory is to build a timeless and priceless memorial in her name – a community for the poorest of the poor in the Philippines – a community of love, faith, unity, healing, caring and sharing through ANCOP & Gawad Kalinga Remy’s family pooled together their resources, along with donations from relatives and friends, to help build and transform a community of more than 100 homes, complete with a community center, place of worship, park/common area, school, health center, and livelihood for the poor in Sitio Ruby, East Fairview, Quezon City – a vibrant, thriving and renewed community called “REMYVILLE”.
