Railroadin' was filmed in April of 1929 using the new Vitaphone sound process; with sound being recorded on separate disc. The discs were lost until the late 1970's when they were found and reunited with the track. Although the discs were damaged, so there are lots of pops and hisses, it tracked with the film fine. No musical track were added to early Roach comedies, resulting in an often awkward viewing experience during action scenes especially.
So I have added a new music score to the film, under the dialogue and action sounds. Using original Leroy Shield melodies written in the 1930's for the Hal Roach comedies, and played by the Beau Hunks, there is now some music to go along with all that train action! :) Enjoy!
