The government should be doing all it can to assist small enterprises, says the Federation of Small Businesses.
Amid high levels of public sector unemployment, those looking to create and expand small businesses should be given more government help, some of which could come from the proposed Secured Lending Reform Bill.
John Walker, national chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses, talked of the difficulty small businesses have had accessing loans.
He said that the bill, if passed, would mean that small businesses across the UK will be less likely to be treated unfairly by banks that continue to exploit loopholes in the system to withhold funds.
