With an acknowledgement of the communal nature of the scene, 220 strives to provide its members, and most especially its audience, with a show that showcases all styles that is truly a characteristic of its individuality. Since its inception in 1998, 220 continually breaks newer grounds with an ever growing roster encompassing an extensive array of abilites, fostering a production, and eccentric creative process. 220 traces its roots as a dance group for the UCSD local student organization MASA, and since then has opened its doors to more talent outside the confines of the UCSD campus. The two organizations host FUSION, an annual San Diego Hip Hop competition that invites masses of dance groups all over California
