The Nenets are Inuit-like people who inhabit the tundra in the far north of Russia. Anastasia Lapsui has incorporated a number of local legends and personal experiences to build a series of sequences describing the life of her people under the communist regime. When they appeared as themselves, they all shared the desire to pass on those legends telling the story of their families. That is how was born the first feature film in the Nenets language.
