The hijab is, among other things, a dress code that protects women and gives them modesty and respect. Everything should be covered for a woman when she goes outside in public, everything except: the face and hands. The clothes have to be loose so that the curves of the body be concealed, the clothes cannot be see-through, the clothes should not resemble that of men. ✓ The newsflashes on television misrepresent Islam, showing and picking up some of the black sheep among the Muslims. Such black sheep exist in every religion, including Christianity. ✓ To understand the principles of a religion, one should look at its scriptures, not the followers. So to understand Islam for what is truly is, one should above all look in the Qur'an.
