There are two rooms available in a beautiful villa in the prettiest part of Heliopolis, Cairo. The area is called Korba and it is lined with white three-story buildings with wide sidewalks covered by buildings with arches.
This villa is right behind Salah Salem, which is a 4 or 5 lane road that leads to downtown and everywhere else. This is highly convenient.
For anyone at AUC or any of the new settlements, this is the closest that you can get (Maadi is still further) and still be considered inside Cairo. The metro is 10 minutes by cab, although it is half an hour walking.
One of the rooms available has no Air Conditioner but it has a Private Half-Bathroom. It is available starting this weekend.
The other won't be available for another month, but it has an Air Conditioner.
All rooms have a balcony, varying in size from medium to small.
There is one terrace that leads from the living room and there are no tall buildings in front, just trees. It's an old style villa on a small side street in Korba, and the ceilings are high, there are four balconies and lots of light and you don't have neighbors right next to your balconies.
The rent is currently at 1150 EGP for the room without A/C and 1575 EGP for the one with A/C.
The contract is up for re-signing right now so the landlord might want a slight increase, however, he may just leave it as is considering that there are much less foreigners.
