One lost his 23 year old son and the other almost died on a regular day at work. This was nearly two years ago, in the Carlton Towers fire tragedy that killed 9 and injured over 60 others. Smoke alarms that didn't go off and fire exits that were locked were partly the reasons behind this tragedy. Going beyond their grief and anger, these two individuals came together to help others and save lives. Meet Uday Vijayan and Nitin Dubey; they founded 'Beyond Carlton', a non-profit that spreads awareness on fire safety and works to improves laws around the same. Visit www.beyondcarlton.org to extend your support to this inspiring team or simply take a fire safety quiz. (Carlton Towers is a 7-storey commercial building with narrow corridors and is located in a busy mixed-used locality.)
