EF66 27は、EF66 0番台の2次車で、国鉄からJR貨物に継承された0番台の中で最後まで残った車両です。平成18年(2006)9月に更新工事を受けた際、最後の更新機として国鉄色を維持した塗装のまま出場し、その後も注目を集める機関車となりました。令和4年(2022)3月に定期運用から離脱しましたが、現在も廃車されることなく車籍を残しています。

So last night I was driving home, music turned up, and maybe I was going just a little too fast. Next thing I know, flashing red and blue lights filled my rearview mirror. My heart skipped, but when the officer walked up, he had the most charming smile. He asked for my license, but instead of being stern, his tone was playful. He teased me about “rushing to break hearts,” and I couldn’t help but laugh. We ended up chatting more than expected, and let’s just say the tension was more flirty than scary. He let me off with just a warning, but not before making me promise to “drive safe” with a wink that made my cheeks flush. I’ll admit… I drove away smiling, thinking maybe getting pulled over wasn’t the worst part of my night after all. 😉
