The Academy for Creating Enterprise was started 10 years ago by a BYU professor named Steve Gibson. While Steve was traveling in the Philippines, he was shocked to see so many returned missionaries living below the poverty level. In an effort to give these returned missionaries a future, Steve started the Academy for Creating Enterprise. The Academy is an intensive 8-week training program that teaches the students how to start their own business. Since its inception, the Academy has graduated over 2000 students and over 80 percent of the graduates have started their own successful businesses/hold full-time jobs that provide for their families. Upon graduation, the graduates are paired with one of 25 Alumni Association chapters that provide ongoing mentoring, networking, and training. The Academy has branched out and now provides night classes for those who cannot afford to leave their home for two months (i.e. stake presidents, bishops, etc.). The Academy is also opening locations in Mexico and Brazil and its curriculum is used world-wide by various programs. Our hope is that the Academy will one day be able to reach impoverished returned missionaries all over the world. You naturally think of Mount Rushmore when you think South Dakota, the craggy faces of past presidents staring out into space
But South Dakota has one of the largest herds of American bison on the continent
Bufalo Bll may have gone the way of the wild wild west, but every year modern day cowboys and cowboy wannabes come from around the world and gather in Custer State Park to round up the more than 1000 head of buffalo
You can imagine the sounds of thundering hooves, the crack of the whips, the cowboy hoots and hollersâ¦
and of course thereâs the sound of those motor vehicles for those whoâve never been in a saddle
itâs a great exerciseâ¦keeping the lore of the west alive⦠every September, the wild herds are rounded up, vaccinated and released back into the wild
Of course Buffalo Bill Cody and Annie Oakley send their best and Iâm sure they wish they could be here
Even the buffalo seem happy

We start with Anthony Wayne's namesake, Mad Anthony, by Erie Brewing Company, and then head over to Yards Brewing to check out their George Washington Tavern Porter - brewed using George Washington's own recipe!

President Bush seems to be enjoying Africa... much more than he likes it here. And the people there seem to like him, too. Sounds like an ideal match. Kosovo strikes out on its own, meat is recalled and an American Idol scandal. All this and more news for Presidents Day February 18, 2008.
Seems like Presidents Day is a big deal for government employees who get the day off and raging alcoholics who’ll use any excuse to get hammered on a Monday. Presidents Day goes all the way back to the 1880s when the Federal Government added it to the calendar to honor the birth of George Washington. In the 1980s, we added Abraham Lincoln to the mix.
And how do we honor these great men? With the time-honored tradition of deeply discounting grossly overpriced furniture. Seriously, what is it with furniture stores and Presidents Day?
Past Presidents have done some crazy things you probably don't know about! Just in time for Presidents Day...watch, learn, and laugh at some of the funniest President facts!
