Sarge Hawk and Colonel Grimm narrowly escaped by helicopter from the Tan attack on their Green base, but on the way they spot a Blue tank in the middle of the nearest town, which is very suspicious given the circumstances, and Hawk He decides to go and investigate. Trying to follow the Spy, Sarge enters some kind of strange, illuminated cave or hole, which leads him to what appears to be another world totally different from his own: a vast and gigantic world. But to the misfortune of the Blue spy, the place where they ended up is too small to escape, and Hawk captures him back for debriefing.
The Spy provided a lot of information about the plans of Plastro and the Tan army, about the discovery of the "Portals" and the weapons that Plastro can get from there. Also the whereabouts of the Heroes.
Having rescued Hoover, Riff, Thick, and Shrap, Sarge is informed by Colonel Grimm that Plastro sent an ultimatum to the Green nation: "Surrender or be destroyed." The only option for the Greens is for Hawk to destroy the last remaining portal, but there is a problem: this remains in the most guarded corner of Fort Plastro...
FMV Mod for Army Men: Sarge's Heroes in Sega Dreamcast, adding the video cutscenes.
Sarge's Heroes is a third-person shooting video game developed and published by The 3DO Company for Nintendo 64 in North America on September 28, 1999 and April 14, 2000 in Europe. The player normally controls Sarge Hawk, a sergeant of the Green Army and fights against the evil General Plastro and the Tan Army. The story is the eternal racial war between the Greens and the Tas. This is 3DO's grand attempt to incorporate a recognizable brand into the Army Men franchise. Establish a main cast, updating the generic "Sarge" from the original series to a strongman Sarge Hawk, giving him a squad, a girlfriend and an officer at the helm. It is a very successful launch, despite the fact that Jim Cummings only gives the voice to each male character, resulting quite convincing. This game helped to bring the franchise further to the subseries Sarge's Heroes. Both armies are named after the usual colors of plastic toy army men.
There are two player modes: Campaign and BootCamp, in addition to the Multiplayer mode. In multiplayer mode from 2 to 4 players, players choose their character, faction (color) and difficulty.
The campaign of a player is the main mode of Sarge's Heroes. The player travels through various missions, completing objectives, killing enemies, destroying vehicles and rescuing plastic allies.
The BootCamp is a training level where the player learns the controls. It consists of training areas for all weapons, an obstacle course and a "real fire track".
Exclusive to the PS1 version of the game are the fully animated prerendered scenes, which the Nintendo 64 lacks, thanks to the limited space in the cartridges. Even the Dreamcast version, which is nothing more than an improved copy of the N64, stuck to the pantomime narration in the engine instead of the CGI-animated FMV films.
On N64 you don't have to deal with the clumsy physics and poor collision detection of PS1, even though N64 it's not perfect, it's just much better. DC is not much different to N64, but something worse. It's positive that the lack of verticality of PS1 and PC is not present in N64 and DC, because it adds a whole new dimension to the missions. The N64 version was not optimal in terms of its controls, but it was not as bad as Playstation 1 and PC.
Even though the Army Men games had already established a formula for their third-person shooting games with Army Men 3D, Sarge's Heroes deviates a lot, completely overhauling almost every aspect. The camera perspective, the detail, the movement, the animation; everything has been changed to allow for a faster and less deliberate pace. Sarge Hawk can also jump, which allows for a little climbing on platforms. Pero lo worst is the time it takes the camera that follows the player to adjust itself again, so that the view that we have ahead is not so disconcertingly vacillating.
The worse: the Dreamcast version has a total absence of pilotable vehicles. Only the Playstation and PC version has some tanks.
The Dreamcast version is the same than N64, only with better graphics, textures, character design and voice acting included, which is why Dreamcast is probably the best version (except that the FMV is missing here too).

If the playability on N64 is the one that has been copied on the PS1 in a very poor way, there are many substantial differences. Sarge's Heroes on PlayStation 1 and PC are not horrible or anything, they are simply the worst versions of Sarge's Heroes to play, which makes the N64 probably the best (next to DC). Even if we ignore the graphic fidelity or the level of polish that suggests that PS1 and PC was a cheap and fast port job of N64, much of what did that the N64 and Dreamcast versions were notable was eliminated in the PS1 conversion. What you get on N64, the original version of the game, is a good, long and entertaining game, compared to something the boring PS1 and PC versions. There are some reasons why you might want to try the PS1: the inclusion of pre-rendered scenes, tanks, or maybe you just want to see the designs of different levels, which makes it a game that is almost totally different. But definitely N64 is the best version of the SH game.

Sarge Hawk and Colonel Happy Jack Grimm make a narrow escape by helicopter from the Tan attack on the Green base, but on the way the pilot spots a Blue tank in the middle of the nearest town, which is highly suspicious given the circumstances, and Hawk He decides to go investigate.
Regarding the Commando group of the Bravo company, the "Sarge's Heroes", nothing is known about them, and it only remains to be hoped that they have escaped the attack unharmed...
Then, the players select a map and fight among themselves until they reach the number of deaths needed to win the match.
Adapting to Costa Rican Culture and Finding Stability
So how was that like when you moved to Costa Rica? How was the feeling and the culture and was it different? Well, that's a wonderful question. Costa Rica has an expression. They say Pura Vida, which means pure life. It's ecotourism. So you're talking about natural, beautiful rainforests with flowers and the plants and the natural beauty. of this paradise and so you're overwhelmed and after the honeymoon stage wears off and you realize you're living there you start to explore more places just not the touristy areas yeah and so when you're sitting underneath a palm tree by a waterfall with the love of your life having a wonderful day you you really become one with so many things and you shed some skin and you want more of it and so how is Costa Rica Well, I had to get past certain expectations and parents' guilt. Decided to make some roots there and learn the business from the inside out to give myself stability. And between me and you and even my mama sitting next to me, I needed a little bit more maturity in order to make certain decisions to live the rest of my life. These were things you had to make the full dedications. and to understand your limits. And I had to be exceptionally realistic.
Life Shouldn't Be a Forced March
we know that it's a distance, but it just doesn't have to be a forced march. You can wear comfortable shoes, have the wind in your back and maybe some currents in the water to move you along there. Certain times you're given natural gifts where the stars are aligned. And so I believe you should take advantage of those moments and you should embrace them.
The Power of Human Touch and Positive Escalation
And a lot of people are depending now on AI, which is omni-channel non-voice support like chats and emails and bots. I see that my friend is more gathering, gathering the information and then they bring it to us in the kitchen to cut, slice and dice and to serve it out this. I need that human touch. I will always press zero to speak with somebody because I might be disclosing something personal. I might be emotional. And I don't want latency of putting in a trouble ticket or having to keep repeating the information because the computer can't get my accent. Yeah, that's true. You know, I mean, come on. Sometimes you get a free dessert if you're nice. So there might be a very good chance that my situation not only could get resolved, but I'm going to teach you and your audience a million dollar secret. It's the positive escalation. When somebody assists me and lends a hand, I will make sure that their colleagues and supervisors hear about this either in writing or verbally. I'm not looking for the free cappuccino. It does happen.

Author your Brand Podcast. Surfing, Bilingualism, and Non-Voice Omnichannel Support with Richard Blank
The Author Your Brand show takes a deep dive into becoming a best selling author, sometimes without writing a word. The host, Doug Crowe, interviews CEO’s of multi-million dollar firms, successful entrepreneurs, and “slightly” famous people. Guests include the former CMO of Starbucks Asia, the Inventor of GPS (who sold the company he founded for $6.6 Billion) & NYT bestselling authors. This daily LIVE show uncovers the mindset of these visionaries & their success tips
In a lively podcast interview hosted by Doug Crowe, Richard Blank, founder and operator of Costa Rica's Call Center (CCC), a thriving call center in Costa Rica, shares his passion for surfing, bilingualism, and the challenges of operating a call center in a global market. Richard explains the high-quality services his call center provides to clients across North America, Central America, and Europe, emphasizing the importance of bilingual, college-educated agents dedicated to specific campaigns.
The conversation then turns to the benefits and drawbacks of non-voice omnichannel support, as Doug and Richard discuss the value of personal engagement when it comes to creating a rapport with customers that extends beyond the immediate transaction. This interview will be relevant to anyone interested in call center operations, customer support, and building lasting customer relationships.
Understanding Call Center Contracts and Compliance
One seat for one month is my minimum contract. But if it were my own personal opinion, I like odd man outs. I'd prefer three seats for three months just to at least see. Yeah, right. And do you do any list bill stuff or the client's got to provide the list to call on? Not only does the client provide me the list, but it has to be scrubbed through the DNC because my company is inscribed in the United States that follows all U.S. business and banking laws. Okay. And for clarification, those who don't want to mention, DNC stands for do not call list, which I'm not sure if that actually works or not. They should know because I know a lot of people that have been hit for that. And so you have to be very careful.
AI vs. Human Touch in Customer Service
The pros and the cons. I think when people have these non-voice omni-channel supports, which are chats and emails, which could be generated and used, fine, that saves time and can move things forward. But how about this? You've been a client a long time somewhere and you'd like to speak with somebody. And if no one speaks with you or their office hours are better, you're in a queue a long time. When you finally get someone, you're going to pop. And there's a very good chance you're gonna curse, you're gonna scream, and you're just gonna let it out. And so these relationships cost a lot of money to build. And as much as AI can assist you, it really won't put the ball in the end zone because me and you talking about your dog or your trip to Egypt, or your being a magician, or these fun things that both you and I do in lives with pinballs in Costa Ricas, your AI will not catch that. And that's where the situation is going to be.

WE TELL YOUR STORY
...Better
Why consider becoming an author? Is the time, money, and resources necessary to create a book of impact even worth it?
Influence. Impact. Authorship.
Becoming an author is always a major achievement... but never done alone.
Our authors do more than simply publish a book; they make a dent in their Universe.
Why Authoring Your Book Can Change the World
(But You’ll Surely Fail if You Don’t Do This…)
Your story matters. Your ideas need to be shared. But if you depend only upon a book to become the tipping point, it simply won’t work. In today’s ecosystem of information overload, even a social media influencer has an impact that lasts about as long as the memory of a goldfish.
Engagement? That’s cute. What does that mean, anyway?
There is a single foundational element all thought leaders, influencers, and visionaries have that most authors hope for, but very few achieve.
Stop Dreaming. Start Researching.
Your idea for a book may be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Why haven’t you written it and had a dozen publishers beating down your door for a movie deal? For most authors, there’s a bit of doubt and fear, and that's normal.
Is what you are saying worthy?
Will people resonate with it?
Can you make a difference?
What if there was a way to find out the answers to all of these questions? Here's the good news. Not only can you get these questions answered, but our proprietary "vet & validate" answers them and begins building your audience... before your book is written.
AUTHORS OF IMPACT
What’s your idea, your dream, your vision?
Do you know a better way to communicate at the office? Maybe your leadership principles would apply to a new demographic like local government? Your story can be life-changing for somebody.
But only if you are published.
Don’t go through life with the potential to make the world a better place and squander the opportunity. Once your idea of becoming an author is in your heart-don't hesitate.
Take action today.
What do John Grisham, Tony Robbins, and ** Rowling have in common?
These visionaries didn’t start at the top. Like all people of influence, they had humble beginnings. They were just trying to make ends meet as…
…A lawyer in a busy firm.
…A janitor in a corporate office.
…Or a single mother on child support writing the first few words of her book on a napkin.
The one thing they have in common is that they were as busy as you (maybe more). But that did not deter them from moving their vision into reality. Authorship, like any large venture, requires a blend of patience and perseverance. Equally important is a process and team to pull it all together.
At Author Your Brand, we use that same system the Fortune 100 do for developing and guaranteeing a new product launch.
Research.
The process is detailed, thorough, and will give you the data, confidence and pre-sales to boldly move forward; to helping you become a #1 Best Selling Author… without you writing a single word.
We help people just like you capture, organize, publish, and market a beautifully crafted book that tells your unique story within the context of serving others.
We transform leaders into respected experts in their field. We make sure that your book is a timelessly powerful tool that attracts new opportunities and has the power to make a dent in the Universe.
If You Qualify, Expect:
Unparalleled collaboration to frame your unique perspective
Professional journalism to distill your content into a compelling story
A systems-based creative process that perfectly captures your voice
Over 200 data points of competitive intelligence
Unlimited revisions and focus group testing on your book cover
#1 status as a Best-Selling author on Amazon.
Major media attention and outreach to build your author*ity
...and much more.

Popol Vuh Nicht hoch im Himmel, from album Hosianna Mantra, 1972.
Florian Fricke pioneered the use of synthesizers in German rock, but by the time of Hosianna Mantra he had abandoned them (eventually selling his famous Moog to Klaus Schulze). While In den Gärten Pharaos had blended synths with piano and African and Turkish percussion, Hosianna Mantra focuses on organic instrumentation. Conny Veit contributes electric guitar, but other than that, Fricke pulls the plug and builds the album around violin, tamboura, piano, oboe, cembalo, and Veit's 12-string, often with Korean soprano Djong Yun's haunting voice hovering above the arrangements. As the album's title suggests, Fricke conceived of Hosianna Mantra as a musical reconciliation of East and West, a harmonization of seemingly opposed terms, combining two devotional music traditions. That notion of cultural hybridity resonates throughout. On "Kyrie" droning tamboura, simple piano patterns, ethereal, gull-like guitars, and yearning oboe ebb and flow before coalescing in a passage of intensity and release. The epic title track adds another dimension to the fusion, emphasizing a Western rock sound with Veit's spectacular playing to the fore, simultaneously smoldering and liquid, occasionally yielding to Djong Yun's celestial vocals. Above all, Fricke envisioned this as sacred music, intimately linked to religious experience; however, as his musical synthesis of disparate religious traditions indicates, he was seeking to foment a spiritual experience beyond the specificity of any particular faith. Indeed, Fricke called this album a "mass for the heart" and that aspect can be heard most succinctly on the melancholy "Abschied" and the gossamer-fragile "Segnung," which blend an austere hymnal sensibility with a more mystical vibe. Julian Cope has said that Hosianna Mantra sounds like it was made in a "cosmic convalescent home" -- an excellent description underscoring the timeless, healing quality of this music, which is far removed from the everyday world and yet at one with it.
Pink Floyd If, from album Atom Heart Mother, Appearing after the sprawling, unfocused double-album set Ummagumma, Atom Heart Mother may boast more focus, even a concept, yet that doesn't mean it's more accessible. If anything, this is the most impenetrable album Pink Floyd released while on Harvest, which also makes it one of the most interesting of the era. Still, it may be an acquired taste even for fans, especially since it kicks off with a side-long, 23-minute extended orchestral piece that may not seem to head anywhere, but is often intriguing, more in what it suggests than what it achieves. Then, on the second side, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Rick Wright have a song apiece, winding up with the group composition "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" wrapping it up. Of these, Waters begins developing the voice that made him the group's lead songwriter during their classic era with "If," while Wright has an appealingly mannered, very English psychedelic fantasia on "Summer 68," and Gilmour's "Fat Old Sun" meanders quietly before ending with a guitar workout that leaves no impression. "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast," the 12-minute opus that ends the album, does the same thing, floating for several minutes before ending on a drawn-out jam that finally gets the piece moving. So, there are interesting moments scattered throughout the record, and the work that initially seems so impenetrable winds up being Atom Heart Mother's strongest moment. That it lasts an entire side illustrates that Pink Floyd was getting better with the larger picture instead of the details, since the second side just winds up falling off the tracks, no matter how many good moments there are. This lack of focus means Atom Heart Mother will largely be for cultists, but its unevenness means there's also a lot to cherish here.

A Creative Approach to Sales Calls
I can picture the supervisor with bad coffee breath named Billy screaming at you to read the script so Adrian doesn't hang up on you. Imagine the pressure that's going through. I mentioned 20, 30 second calls for 10 minutes. No one's giving you five minutes with you. No one's even giving you a minute. They need to earn that first 30 seconds they should possibly try to anchor with you. Let's use real estate for an example. When people were making FSBO or cancels and expired calls, I told them to do the address spike. Or if I was calling your podcast, I'd go, Adrian Barker Speaks, how are you today? I start off strong. I start off with a company or a name spike. Why? I'm using anonymity. It could snap you, my friend, out of that trance of all those telemarketers. And then just in that three seconds, I'm not anonymous the whole call, that's shady. But for that three seconds, I gave you something you're familiar with. I said it better than you did. And then I get a chance to gauge a positive or a negative reaction. Instead of, as you said, do you have a minute? This is a sales call. You'd say, I'm busy. I'm not interested. Stop selling me. We're good. Thanks. Hang up. But if I said, Adrian Barker speaks. How are you today? You'd probably say, who's this? Gotcha. So your defense goes from a 10 to a two. And I'll take that eight and move it into a forward motion. So guess who wins the first round? Chuck Wepner versus Ali. I did. Why? I anchored. Why? You didn't hang up on me.
Building Authentic Relationships in Customer Service
The clients and the companies that do their due diligence have better relationships when they custom make voicemails and emails and updating information. It just doesn't have to be so plastic. And so distant and foreign and where they keep calling you ma'am and sir, you can have a beautiful relationship with somebody on the phone that can save the day. Especially like when I've called into AAA before, a lot of those individuals are trained to have extended empathy.
Crafting unique phone interactions
But as I said before, this person has been trained for the average burger. There's nothing special about it. You, my friend, are gourmet. You don't need to angle in or ask. As I say before, you should have earned the pasta pitch. My suggestion, depending on the size of your list, do two minutes of due diligence. Look at a LinkedIn profile. Look at a website. Maybe you get lucky. They just celebrated their 15th year in business. Then you could say, hey, I just wanted to say congratulations on the 15-year anniversary. Or maybe there's a chance when you see the directory whom will be answering that call. So then you could say hi to Kathy. Nice, Kathy. And so you're asking me, how do I increase my metrics? And when someone's busy and I'm asking to speak with them, I do three or four marinated things prior to asking for time or commitments from people. I need people to lay down their swords and they need to not judge me on what happened with others that didn't show that sort of respect to that company. And so when I leave a custom-made voicemail, make a custom-made email, or I try to anchor with this gatekeeper one, two, or three ways, if it's mystery shopping, if it's a due diligence, a callback, or just randomly throwing darts out there, you gotta hit the sizzle in the beginning of something they can relate with. They're just not gonna give that pass. These people kind of want you to be a little bit clever And so when I smile over the phone by saying the name of the company better than they do, I'm teaching them to stand up a little straighter. You sound terrible when you're answering the phone. Please let you know, have some pizzazz.
Energized Introduction and Personal Journey
You're so handsome. Oh my God, everyone. Okay, so here we are again. I think this is the sixth interview today, Richard. And I'm just so energized. I think I could go. I think I could do 100 live-a-thons and not have a problem. Okay, so I haven't met Richard. No prep needed. But I will tell you, I've seen his face and he looks exactly the same. What a good looking guy. I can't wait. So Richard, you got to introduce yourself. Tell us who you are. What are you doing? And I'm so glad to have you today. You look beautiful. You look beautiful. I have to say that you are a beautiful human being. so thank you so much i'm so happy to be with you and your amazing audience my name is richard blank i'm the proud ceo costa rica's call center i'm a long shot from northeast philly that actually followed his dreams got past parents guilt married the girl of my dreams and here we are today so it's a great story of twists and turns oh you married a costa rican woman I did. I married a tropical girl. I'm jealous. Sorry, but there's some beautiful, beautiful. I love that. So you're living your dream. So the call center. So you live in the dream in Costa Rica, but tell us about the call center. Well, it's a dedicated center and it's bilingual and we work with sales and customer support and back office support and non-voice support. I believe today most people are frustrated with omni-channel non-voice where they fill out forms or do chats and emails. You and I might press zero. We want to speak with somebody to retain our account, upsell maybe, possibly get a referral and At the end of the day, if they're dropping the ball, maybe we could tell them what to do and call the balls in the strikes so they can keep our business and not lose it. And so it's a very delicate relationship that you have to build a business. But there's so many amazing people out there that earn a living making and receiving phone calls. So hats off to those amazing warriors.
Humor and Strategy in Telemarketing Calls
What an amazing image.
Importance of Due Diligence in Sales
Of course I do. Then you could say, hey, I just wanted to say congratulations on the 15 year anniversary.
Navigating the High-Pressure World of Telemarketing
What an amazing image.
Using the Buffer Boomerang Technique
All I know is that I slowed you down, calmed you down, got you out of the trance, said something you were familiar with, the name spike. And then you'll say, who is this? That's when we use a buffer boomerang technique. Adrian, that's an excellent question. My name is Richard Blank. Name drop buffer. Let him know it's an excellent question. Repeat the question so you don't have to repeat it. I got you. And then I send it back to you positive. It's readjusting tones. I'm not going to tell you my company yet. You're going to have to ask me another question. What's the name of your company? Once again, what a beautiful tone you have. We're at a 2 now or at a 3. We're not at a 10 at D. So it's nice motions. And now we're, what, a minute and a half in? Obviously, I got your pass to pitch. Let's say your son answered the phone. I'm going to let you know how charming and nice and a gentleman your son was.

And then I get a chance to gauge a positive or a negative reaction. Instead of, as you said, do you have a minute? This is a sales call. You'd say, I'm busy. I'm not interested. Stop selling me.
Importance of Due Diligence in Sales
Of course I do.

A Creative Approach to Sales Calls
