Enoch Magazine travels to Warped Tour 2011 and interviews metal band Black Veil Brides (BVB). Nate Smith of EnochMagazine.com interviews Black Veil Brides singer Andy Biersack, and bass player Ashley Purdy. These makeup covered rockers, sporting leather, lace, metal studs and spikes, are from L.A. The band just released their second new album Set The World On Fire. In the interview, Nate Smith asks Andy and Ashley questions about being an LA band, their perception of Jesus, being homeless, playing with Motley Crue and an obsession with the band KISS. Andy Biersack (singer) is quick to tackle the "Jesus" question, while Ashley simply points out he worships girls.
The Wonder Years (Hopeless records) bring some of the most honest lyrics you've ever seen in Punk Rock Music.
They play fast, loud and make pop punk seem like so much fun. While at the 2011 Warped Tour in Pomona California, Nate was stoked to have the chance to interview Josh Martin (bass and vocals) and hear what he had to say.
Josh Martin was open to talk about the recording of their latest record, religion, and why he keeps playing bass in The Wonder Years (Hopeless Records) even though he makes no money.
The Wonder Years (Hopeless records) , just released their sophomore record, Suburbia, I've given you all and now I'm nothing.

WARNING! Extremely graphic images! The goal of this clip is not to shock ,disgust or gross out the watching audience, for a perverse voyeuristic effect, rather it is meant to be an educational tool for those who want to make their mind up ,wether radical political Islam has a place in Western society. It is intended to wake people up to the realities of extreme ,intolerant ,bigoted creed that worships extreme violence and triumph of death over life. These are real photos taken at different parts of the world ,where Islamic terror acts took place, from Russia to Indonesia ,from US to Mumbai and Israel.Main stream media will never show you these.Whatever one decides ,neutrality is not an option. "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. Thus because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,I shall spew thee out of my mouth." Revelation 3:15-16
Got focus? It's amazing how things can lose focus. I recall in the Air Force, there were people who insisted upon reports being filled and meetings being attended, even at the expense of operational missions! And please don't think that such failure-to-focus is limited to the military establishment. Businesses, healthcare establishments and even religious bodies can sometimes get so wrapped up in procedures and rules that their basic purpose is obscured! Does a hospital exist for the sake of healing people or for the sake of complying with state and federal regulations? There are a few folks who would ask that question!
And where spirituality and religion are concerned, it can really happen. I recall my main mentor (Rt Rev Jerome Birnbaum AKA Jerome Peartree) kidding that if he were put to death, in a thousand years would his followers be wearing little electric chairs around their necks? And what about the cross, especially the version with the body on it? Isn't the emphasis supposed to be not on that, but the fact that he overcame the most agonizing and humiliating of deaths to rise again and triumph? When we think of stars on the red carpet for the Oscars or Emmys, do we focus on the well-dressed, well-scrubbed star on the carpet, or do we focus on the scrubbing, bathing, and perhaps some breath-holding that it took to get them into those fancy clothes?
And that's where focus comes in. It's one of the more important parts of "To Will," I would say.
Got focus?

I've noticed a similar phenomenon going on in the world of secular politics as I've noticed going on in religion, especially in the United States. It's known as polarization. And, so I take the title from the political campaign slogan of Richard Nixon, the man who was President the last time I saw so much political polarization. As I see it, the basic problem which Richard Nixon had was that he accomplished what his predecessors of the other party had not been able to do. He opened China, he ended the war in Vietnam, and he ended the miliraty draft. And so, the other party became almost obsessive about him - and some still are. If he were still alive, he could probably share some things with President Obama.
And in the world of religion, there is similar polarization going on in a number of denominations - and between denominations. Worse, some groups seem to make accusations in one direction when there is history to show that they could make those accusations into a mirror.
And I think about three men I greatly admire, some of the greatest theological minds our world has seen: Venerable Solanus Casey, Archbishop Fulton Sheen and Father Thomas Merton. All three were Romal Catholic clergy, but all three were comfortable working with people of other faiths - and did so with no intent to convert them. Father Solanus was a Capuchin priest simplex known, among other things, for the soup kitchens he founded. Bishop Sheen was known for his work in radio and television. Father Merton was a Trappist monk whose diverse circle of friends included the Dhalai Lama. And they all spoke about unity without unification.
Can you imagine what could be accomplished if we could come together to work together?
Blessed Be!
In this episode of Exploring the Illusion of Free Will, taped on May 15, 2011, I describe how the decades-long attrition of congregations can be reversed by having today's religions teach the truth that human will is causal rather than free.

In the 1980s there were approximately 200 Muslim families in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This changed in 1990 when Iraq invaded Kuwait and there was a large migration of Muslim families to Halifax.
There were only a few mosques in Halifax at the time of the migration and the community soon realized that they were going to need something bigger and more elaborate to accommodate not only the amount of people, but also the growing needs of the community. Not only did they need a place to pray, but they needed a place to preserve their religion and teach their children about Islam. Out of this need, the idea for the Ummah Masjid was born.

Dave has been called the best sports writer ever as well as the most controversial. He loves the Mets, Jets, Wizards, and Mystics. In the documentary screened at the event, Zirin illustrates how sports (far from being "just a game") have been at the center of the issues of our times. Zirin shows how sports have romanticized homophobia, sexism, ...

This video is meant as an objective take on the debate surrounding homosexuality and gay marriage. People on both sides of the issue must take time to calmly listen to the facts while throwing all myths out the window. Mormons should learn to understand those who are different from them, even those who choose to live an alternative lifestyle. Proponents of homosexuality and gay marriage should learn to walk the walk of love by treating Mormons with respect and honoring their right to freedom of religion.

http://www.battery-farm.com Women don't come out very well in the Bible. Maybe it's a sign of the times. Female equality is a recent concept and is not taken into account in the Bible. Maybe sexism is right and the Bible is right. Maybe sexism is wrong and the Bible is wrong. The wise Solomon didn't have much nice to say about the ladies either. Some of his proverbs may elicit a snigger, but to be included in a religious text that people are meant to live by? Either the Bible was meant to have a moment of comedy at the expense of women or, or, well I can't think of an alternative. St Paul was picked by God to tell the known world about Him. Part of Paul's ministry involved writing letters to churches, communities and his own helpers. His letters may be positive towards God, but they are misogynistic when it comes to women. Either women had wronged him in earlier life, or maybe he didn't like them in the first place.

Chess is and will always be the classic strategy board game, but for people looking for something new and even more challenging there's Armis. The goal of Armis is to capture the opponents Flag using your President, Vice President, Army, Submarine, Aircraft Carrier and the like but what makes it more interesting than a typical Military type board game is that it has a mix of reality. You also have Religion, Media and even a Child piece. Another thing that makes this game more interesting and challenging is that you set up the pieces the way you want to set them up (except for the flag and the reserves) so your strategic planning starts before the game even begins. There are over a mi llion ways to set up your pieces so it won't boring or routine any time soon. Each of the pieces have their own movements. Some rely on other pieces to be able to move and also depend their lives on other pieces. The vice president for example takes over the Presidency in the event of an assassination; if you capture the opponents child you loose your diplomat and religion; activating your nuke also sacrifices your diplomat and religion and if there is no president the flag is immobilized. Armis really gives a new twist to strategy games and gives players a different challenge every time they play, time for the new war to begin!

A film by Roger De Souza Eremita of www.DarknessTruthLight.com, addressing ancient history, religion and the contemporary world for clues about a prevalent but uncanny version of the origin of our species. The short film is also an attack at how we allow oursleves to fall victim to slavery.
An excellent performance of Hindustani Vocal by 104 years old Ustad Rashid Ali Khan created a musical atmosphere in Aurora's Business School. Spectators were spellbound by his performance the students, the visitors and faculty were immersed in the performance. The hooker was young, pretty...and dead, butchered in a Greenwich Village apartment. The prime suspect, a minister's son, was also dead, the victim of a jailhouse suicide. The case is closed, as far as the NYPD is concerned. Now the murdered prostitute's father wants it opened again--that's where Matthew Scudder comes in. But this assignment carries the unmistakable stench of sleaze and perversion, luring Scudder into a sordid world of phony religion and murderous lust where children must die for their parents' most unspeakable sins.
MARTIN - Family scholar Allan C. Carlson will present “Third Ways: Rebuilding an American Economy Focused on the Family and Community,” March 24, at the University of Tennessee at Martin. The lecture is scheduled at 7 p.m. in Watkins Auditorium of Boling University Center. Third way measures include a return to the natural arrangements of family, church and local community. In contrast to corporate globalization, Carlson will emphasize the importance revitalizing the family farm, the family-held business and the independent shop. Carlson’s lecture will address questions such as: Does conservatism invariably mean defending the actions of the great banks and corporations? Is agrarianism a ridiculous anachronism in the 21st century? Is it conservative to wage perpetual war for perpetual peace? Carlson is president of the Howard Center for Family, Religion & Society. His books include “The Natural Family: A Manifesto” and “The ‘American Way’: Family and Community in the Shaping of the American Identity.” The Intercollegiate Studies Institute and its UT Martin chapter student organization will sponsor the lecture. --- I apologize for the poor sound quality. I tried my best to make everything audible.
