Here's one for the Buick fans... a 1970 Buick GSX 455 Stage 1 4-Speed in Saturn Yellow! Buick made 678 of these luxo-rockets in 1970, and they were certainly out of character for the Buick brand. Producing 360 horsepower and 510 ft. lbs. of torque, these capable street brawlers were running with the fastest Muscle Cars from any manufacturer. In fact, Motor Trend Magazine clocked a Stage 1 car tripping the lights in 13.35 seconds @ 105.5 mph in '70, fast enough to be called their quickest test of 1970. The Brothers Collection never disappoints, and it certainly appeals to all Muscle Car brands.

The Shelby G.T. 350H is a very special Shelby as, it was used as a rental race car available through Hertz rental car stores in '66. Featuring the 306 HP 289, it was just as capable as the "regular" G.T. 350 available at Ford dealers. There were 1000 ordered by Hertz, but this is one of 2 that were refused by Hertz and was never used as a rental. Truly a rare and significant example from the Brothers Collection!

The 1969 Chevelle SS 396 was a hot car, but the COPO program allowed for a run of 427 cars to really take Super Stock drag racing by storm. However, Don Yenko at Yenko Chevrolet one-upped the COPO cars with 99 special 1969 "SYC" Yenko Super Car Chevelles further modified to his liking. This 427 cubic-inch monster features a 4-speed, and it is one of only 12 built in Garnet Red. From The Brothers Collection.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - This week, we're featuring a 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda AAR wearing the ultra-bright Sassy Grass Green paint color. These cars were direct descendants of the Trans Am racing program, and while they are highly sought-after today, they were not hot sellers when new. This is one of several AARs in the Brothers Collection, and we show you the details in this week's episode!
In 1969, Pontiac unveiled a high-performance Firebird required by Trans Am rules to allow them to compete in the Trans Am racing series. While other manufacturers were allowed to compete as well, Pontiac grabbed the obvious name choice and called there version the Trans Am. These were potent performers with excellent suspension systems and a uniquely racy design. Less than 1000 were made, but today we're focusing on one of the 8... that's less than 10... factory-built 1969 Pontiac Trans Am Convertibles. This one has just completed an extensive restoration, is powered by a 400-cube Ram Air III V8, and is from the Brothers Collection.

This week, we bring you one of the pinnacle Muscle Cars ever built, for multiple reasons! You're looking at the very first 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda Convertible ever built. Rare because they only made 14 Hemi 'Cuda drop-tops in '70, cool because of the 425 HP 426 cube Hemi V8 under the hood, and even more unique because this is the first one to roll off the assembly line. Dressed in Rallye Red with a red interior and black top, this car even sports a red Shaker hood scoop for more attention-getting fun. Mash the gas and the dual Carter four-barrels open up to provide fuel - lots of fuel - to the hungry Hemi below. The Brothers Collection is home to some awesome cars, but this one is over the top, even with the top down!
http//www.musclecaroftheweek.com - Oldsmobile built some of the most potent Muscle Cars of the era, and today they are among the most desirable. This week, we're featuring a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible, and it is loaded with all the right stuff, including the 370 HP W-30 455 V8, the close ratio Muncie 4-Speed transmission, and the super-rare W27 aluminum center rear axle assembly. Word on the street is that there are only a couple W-30 4-speed convertibles ever built with the W27 out of the 96 drop-tops made. The story of this car is just as unique, as the history is known back to the day the original order was placed for the car at Hansel Olds in Fullerton, California by Robert "Rug" Kazley. The Brothers Collection is home to some stellar Oldsmobiles, and this one is among the best!

This week, we're taking a look at a Muscle Car that proves one didn't need the biggest engine to be a bad machine! The 1969 Camaro Z/28 boasted a high-revving 302 cube V8 - a size dictated by the SCCA for Trans Am racing legality. But don't let the relatively small displacement fool you - the Z/28 302 was conservatively rated at 290 HP - although many claim it made closer to 350 HP at a higher RPM than the original rating. This Dusk Blue example retains all the cool parts that made up the Z/28 package. From the Brothers Collection.
What happens when you mix a lightweight body with a high-powered 427? Ford set out to find out with this 1966 Fairlane, and the results were awesome. This Fairlane does not look like anything special, being completely devoid of racy looking stripes or fancy trim, but the giveaway is the scooped lift-off hood and the discreet 427 badges on the fenders. This car is boasting lightweight aluminum and fiberglass panels from front to back, and has been assembled without creature comforts inside. However, it was fitted with the R-Code dual 4-barrel side-oiler 427, a 425 HP race engine for the street. The R-Code rumbles thanks to the high compression pistons and lumpy cam, and the 4-speed manual box and 3.89 gears help it get out of the hole. Which is what this car was designed to do, in the form of Super Stock drag racing. Ford only built 57 of these in 1966, and this one lives among many other unique and low-production factory racers in the Brothers Collection.
The LS6 Chevelle option was new for 1970, and the cars went into production in late 1969. This week's Muscle Car Of The Week has a build date of December 9, 1969, making it one of the earliest. For a while, this was believed to be the earliest US-made LSX, as there is a Canadian manufacturer car with a build date of November 1969. The world will never know what the first one is unless the VIN numbers of all of the cars are somehow obtained. No matter what, this dark green metallic, 450 hp 1970 LS6 Chevelle is one of the nicest in existence. There are several LS6 Chevelle's in the Brothers collection, this one is one of the most unique.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com/store - This week, we're bringing you an often overlooked muscle car, the 1968 Mercury Cougar GT-E. These were sporty but comfortable, and the GT-E bought you a 7-liter V8 to make things interesting. Most were the smooth 428 V8, but some were ordered with the far less subtle 427 side oiler... like the one in this video. The 427 was rated at 390 HP and has a great rumble, but the car is refined enough to drive and enjoy every day. The Brothers Collection is home to several rare Mercury cats, this is one of the favorites!

This beautiful 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 looks great thanks to its pristine restoration and soothing Gulfstream Aqua color, and the S-Code 390 / 4-speed Toploader combo makes it a blast to drive. However, one of the most unique features of this Mach 1 is the factory installed steel sunroof... an option that was not offered on the '69 Mustang. It is one of 2 built with the opening roof, and it's another excellent example of the diversity of outstanding Muscle Cars in the Brothers Collection. Watch the video to learn more about this stunning Mustang!
What would you pick if you had a time machine to take you back to the year of your favorite Muscle Car? If a 1970 Chevelle SS with the 450 HP LS6 454 winds your watch, than we have the time machine for you! This 100% original and correct LS6 only has 34.2 actual miles on the odometer! It has been called the highest horsepower and lowest mileage Muscle Car left in the world! Watch the video to learn all about this car and how it survived in "as-new" condition all these years.

The Muscle Car Of The Week is this stunning 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 XL that becomes more interesting the more you look. You will first notice the subdued color called Coventry Gray, and it was never offered on the Ford Galaxie for 1966. It is a specially ordered Mercury color, making this the only one ever built! And while they made many Galaxie 500 XL models, there were less than 50 that came with the R-Code 427 V8 under the hood. Boasting 425 hp, the R-Code 427 breathed through dual four barrel carburetors and churned a four speed manual transmission. This might not look like a race car, but it seemed to be built for the drag strip. We love the juxtaposition of luxury and power, making this a wolf in banker's clothing!
This week, we're featuring a 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda AAR, a high-revving 340 V8 powered Trans Am car for the street! These had all kinds of speed and performance parts, and the high impact visuals to go with them. This particular car is one of only 5 FT6 Burnt Tan versions built, with only 2 known survivors.
The Muscle Car Of The Week is for Mustang fans, as we bring you a great story on a sweet '67 K-Code convertible from the Brothers Collection! This 1967 K-Code Mustang convertible is one of just 50 made, and only 1 of 16 convertible automatics. The K-Code featured a 289 High Performance V8 making 271 horsepower and 340 ft. lbs. of torque, which made these Mustangs great performers. This Lime Gold example is also documented by the Marti Report to be the last one built on the San Jose Ford assembly line, which is the same line that built the Mustangs which became Shelby GT350s. Watch the video for more details on the K-Code package and this particular example!

This week, The Brothers Collection brings us a pristine 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS396 "Z16" in Rally Red with a White interior! The SS396 featured a 375 horsepower L37 396 cubic-inch V8, which was very similar to the Corvette's L78 396, although it ran a hydraulic cam and different intake causing a lower horsepower rating. However, the 4-speed Z16 package cars ran low 14's in the quarter mile in stock trim all day long. These cars were also unique in the sense that they all featured nearly every optional upgrade in the standard package... they all had tilt wheel, 4-speaker AM / FM stereo, deluxe rear seat belts, dash mounted clock, 160 MPH speedometer, in-dash tach, and the Muncie 4-speed with console. Outside, they wore special fender-mounted SS badges, had unique rear trim, and rolled with mag-wheel inspired wheel covers. Chevrolet made 201 Z16 package '65 Malibu SS cars in 3 colors, and this Rally Red version is one of an estimated 65 remaining today.
This week's Muscle Car Of The Week from The Brothers Collection is a super-rare 1970 1/2 Pontiac Trans Am, complete with the Ram Air IV 400 cube V8 and Muncie 4-speed transmission!
1970 marked the second generation for GM's F body platform, and the company made substantial improvements to the car over the '67-'69 versions. The 1970 1/2 models were longer and more spacious inside, and generally drove more comfortably than the earlier cars. 1970 also marked the peak in performance Muscle Cars, and the 1970 1/2 Trans Am was one of the top performers. The Pontiac Trans Am came loaded with numerous performance add-ons, such as upgraded suspension, brakes, exhaust, and distinctive styling.
This particular Polar White Trans Am is among the most sought-after of all, as it features the 370 HP Ram Air IV V8 engine and a Muncie 4-speed transmission. The Ram Air IV engine was assembled with very tight tolerances from the factory, making it as close to a hand-built racing engine as you could buy from GM. The RAIV package started with a 4-bolt main block, forged crank and pistons, and a high performance oil pump, but the big difference was in the top half of the engine. The Ram Air IV heads boasted 67cc chambers, 2.11" swirl-polished intake valves and 1.77" exhaust valves, and large round exhaust ports. The .520" lift RAIV cam had a long 308 degree intake / 320 degree exhaust duration and pulled air through an aluminum dual-plane intake manifold. These parts sounded more like they were hand-picked by a race engine builder than a factory offering, but that's what makes the RAIV so special. They only made 88 of these cars, 59 were manuals and the other 29 came with automatics. It's one of the few cars where both transmissions were offered and the manual outsold the auto. Watch the video to learn more about this Pontiac Historical Society documented correct '70 1/2 and its unique details like the original 2-tone blue seat covers, 1-year only Rally II wheels, and distinctive styling elements.
This week, we have a special car for Mopar fans from the Brothers Collection. This is the very first 1969 Plymouth Road Runner A12 446 Pack ever built! This was the pilot car used by Chrysler to promote the A 12 Roadrunner package, and it has been called the "Wayward Beeper". Its significant history is bolstered by an appearance in Super Stock Magazine, where it was tested and tuned by legendary speed-shifter Ronnie Sox. This car features the 390 hp 440 V8 with 3 2 barrel carburetors, and A833 four-speed transmission, 4.10:1 rear gears, and a stripped-down interior. This very car has gone 12.91 seconds in the quarter mile, leading Chrysler to call it the fastest A12 ever built!

http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - The first episode of Muscle Car Of The Week features a the very first 1969 Camaro with option package ZL-1, complete with the original all-aluminum 427 V8 and an amazing history. This is the first of 69 ZL-1 Camaros ever built, and was delivered to Fred Gibb Chevrolet on New Year's Eve in 1968. Gibb and his crew transformed the car into a drag race record setter, and drove the car in races all over the country. In this video, Charley Lillard takes us through the car and tells us the stories about the original car and its restoration. Today there are less than 40 original ZL-1 Camaros still in existence. You can guess next week's muscle car over the week on our Facebook page.

If you were to go buy a brand-new 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, what options would you choose? This week, our featured Muscle Car is a super-clean 1970 Chevelle SS 454 with the 450 HP LS6 V8 backed by a Muncie M22 4-speed transmission. Couple that with a power convertible top, and you've got an awesome ride capable of burning through the first 3 gears while wind-blowing your hair at the same time. There are multiple LS6 Chevelles in the Brothers Collection, but this one is perhaps the most sinister.

This 1963 Plymouth Sport Fury was about as close to a drag-ready race car as you could buy from a dealer in '63. Besides its no-nonsense appearance, this car came equipped with the 426 Max Wedge Super Stock V8, a powerful competition engine boasting 11.1:1 compression and an advertised 415 HP at 5600 RPM. The dual-quad "short ram" intake, high-lift cam, free flowing exhaust, manual trans, Sure Grip differential, and a lack of accessories helped these cars stack up records in Super Stock drag racing. This one is from the Brothers Collection.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - This week's video features a car that looks sedate as can be but reveals a startlingly different personality once the key is turned. The factory-built 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Lightweight features an R-Code 427 for power, and nearly all the non-essential items have been deleted or lightened for better drag strip performance in the Super Stock NHRA class. There were around 200 built, and this one is as true to form as they come. One of the many factory lightweight Muscle Cars in the Brothers Collection.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - Any authentic Yenko Camaro is a special car, and this one is perhaps even more unique. As the popularity of the Yenko name grew, other Chevrolet dealers were permitted to sell Yenko branded cars under license. This Daytona Yellow '69 Yenko Camaro is one such animal, being sold new by Jack Douglass Chevrolet in Hinsdale, IL. Jack Douglass was the authorized Yenko dealer for the Illinois and Wisconsin territory, in addition to being a high performance Chevy dealer of his own. This Camaro features the L72 427 V8 and all the COPO 9561 and COPO 9737 package goodies, and is one of several unique Yenko cars in the Brothers Collection.

This 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT from the Brothers Collection packs all the cool go-fast parts you could get on this car - a 375 horsepower 429 V8, a 4-speed manual transmission, and 4.30:1 rear gears making it the Super Cobra Jet package. It's bright red, sounds mean, and runs hard. Even cooler is that this was a Mercury pilot car, which meant it was destined to be crushed after assembly. Find out the story in this week's Muscle Car Of The Week!
In 1969, you could walk in to your local Mercury dealer and rumble out behind the wheel of a Cougar XR7 Cobra Jet 428 and win street races without attracting the attention of the local fuzz. The '69 XR7 CJ428 is a 335 HP / 440 TQ tire-burner with subtle European design flair. The Brothers Collection is home to many bright and loud Muscle Cars, but this one is an example of speaking softly and carrying a big V8!
http://www.facebook.com/musclecaroftheweek - The '67 Camaro Z/28 is one of the most sought-after Camaros, having been designed to bring the Camaro into the competitive world of Trans Am racing. The Mustang and Barracuda had a couple years lead time on the Camaro, but the potent 302-powered pony car came out of the gate running. This one from the Brothers Collection is a pristine example of an original Z/28 that has been upfitted with some period correct speed parts including the rare cross-ram intake manifold. Too cool.
In this 2 part special episode of Muscle Car Of The Week, we hear from David Phelan about what it was like to pilot a 289 Competition Cobra in the '67 SCCA season. The car he drove has since been restored, but the original aluminum body is in the Brothers Collection, and we reunited David with the body to learn first hand what it was like to race one of these awesome cars.

This week, we are spotlighting a car that does not appear to be very special at first glance. After all, Ford made over 420,000 1965 Galaxies, most of which were plain Jane four-door sedans. However, this one is special. The similarity between "humdrum" and "hang on" occurs the moment you open the hood to find a 427 cube R-Code dual quad V-8 cranking out over 425 hp through a factory four-speed transmission. This is an R-Code 427 four-speed car from the factory, the only one known in the Galaxie registry. This car proves that the Brothers Collection has more than a few tricks up their sleeves!
There is nothing subtle about this week's Muscle Car Of The Week. This Everything about this 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird helps it to stand out in a crowd... the brilliant TorRed color, the high rear wing, the aerodynamic nose, and of course, the growling 426 Hemi V8 under the hood. However, this very car was chosen by some not-so-brilliant outlaws to be the getaway car from a Harrah's Casino heist in Reno, Nevada. Although they might have thought the speed of a NASCAR superspeedway flyer like this would have helped them escape, they were quickly apprehended and the car taken from them. Today, the car lives a much more lawful existence in the Brothers Collection, where it resides in restored glory safe from wrongdoers. We certainly don't condone unlawful acts, but we bet the getaway ride was fun!
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - This week, we're taking a look at a Hemi powered muscle car featuring a cartoon character in the grill. This 1971 Hemi Road Runner is a very limited production car that still retains a full-power 426 Hemi. It features outstanding details like the functional air grabber hood feeding fresh air to the 425 hp, 426 cube Hemi V-8. Inside, you will find a bench seat, a four-speed handle and little else. The exterior styling is bold with the new-for-1971 styling and the distinctive reflective stripe. It is one of many Hemi powered cars in the Brothers Collection and it is our Muscle Car Of The Week!
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - The 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda convertible is one of the rarest most sought after muscle cars ever made. Production of the 1970 426 Hemi-powered monster convertible only reached 14 units, with nine being automatics and the remaining six being four speed manuals. This week, we bring you an Arctic White automatic car with a stunning red interior and contrasting black top. The car is loaded with options including power steering, brakes… even power windows and top! The Brothers Collection is truly a muscle car fan's fantasyland, with this week's 'Cuda at the summit.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - We get lots of cool comments about the videos and cars featured on Muscle Car Of The Week. This time, we take a few moments to address the questions - and concerns - of some of the comments we've received. As always, we're excited to read viewer comments, so please keep 'em coming!
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - Not all Muscle Cars were 2-door sedans, as evidenced by this week's offering, a 1969 Ford Ranchero GT with a 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air V8 under the hood! This one is wearing a Brittany Blue exterior with a blue interior, white GT stripes, and chrome wheels. But the most important part is the 335 HP 428 Cobra Jet engine, capable of 440 ft. lbs. of torque, which helped move this Muscle Car… and whatever it was hauling… with ease! From the Brothers Collection.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - The Ford Torino has always been an aggressively styled Muscle Car, but for 1970, it received a whole new look! This 1970 Torino Cobra is powered by the 429 Super Cobra Jet V8 engine making 375 HP and enough torque to fry the tires at will. It is finished in Vermillion, which provides a stark contrast against the satin black hood, shaker scoop, and tail panel accents to let everyone know this Cobra is not messing around. From the Brothers Collection.
This week, we take a closer look at one of the high points of Corvette style and power with this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette roadster featuring the 435 HP L71 427 V8 under the hood. This beautiful Daytona Yellow 4-speed Corvette is nearly all original, and is showing just over 30,000 miles on the odometer. Even the original analog clock still works! It's an amazing car from the Brothers Collection.
http://www.mcacn.com - One of the coolest displays at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the "Barn Finds & Hidden Gems" display, which showcases cars and trucks as they were discovered in their present and unrestored states. In this video, we take a look at a 1969 Ford Mustang BOSS 429 that was reported to be raced many years ago, and was displayed along with its new engine and vintage 1967 Ford cab-over race car hauler.
http://www.mcacn.com - They say nothing goes together like hot cars and Rock & Roll music, and there was a fantastic theme display at the 2014 Muscle Car And Corvette Nationals that showcased them both! The "Color My World" display demonstrated the wild array of colors offered in the Muscle Car era, and Patrick Krook was there to show us a new line of G&L Guitars that are painted to match.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - This week, we take a look at 1/12 of the total production of 1970 Dodge Challenger convertibles built with the 426 Hemi V8. Of the 12, 9 were US cars, with the other three built for export. This is one of the nicest restorations in the Brothers Collection, and that is saying a lot!
This week, we move off the mark from the typical Muscle Car into the world of mid 1960's luxury sedans, only to find that this 1 of 3 ever built 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 LTD is sporting an 427 for power! The high-compression, dual-quad side-oiler V8 is coupled to a 4-speed transmission and a 4.11:1 rear gear, making this car one of the most comfortable drag racers ever built! This luxo-liner LTD is one of the many unique rides in the Brothers Collection.
http://www.ididitinc.com - Ididit, Inc. brought out some new steering column applications at the 2014 SEMA show in Las Vegas, including highly-anticipated retrofit tilt columns for Ford Falcons and Broncos. Here, we learn about these new parts as well as some insight on how to properly measure for a custom column for any application.
http://www.mcacn.com - The Chevrolet option code "L89" holds special meaning for Muscle Car fans, and in this video, we learn why! 1969 Chevelle SS Deluxe 300 Post Sedan registry owner Dan Vasic brings us up to speed, and also shows us a super-rare 1969 Deluxe 300 Post Sedan SS 396 with the L89 aluminum head option.. one of only 7 known to exist!

http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - This week, we're showcasing a Bright Gold Metallic 1970 Ford Mustang BOSS 302. This is one of the high-revving "hybrid" engine cars which resulted from the homologation rules of Trans Am racing, which dictated the automakers needed to make a street version of the cars raced in Trans Am. This meant the 302 cube V8 that was built from a Windsor block and topped with Cleveland heads needed to be readily available to the public. Add to that the low-slung suspension, high-impact graphics, and other performance touches and you have a hot performer that was great fun to drive. From the Brothers Collection.
The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is more than a car show, it celebrates all elements of the hobby including showcasing some of the best artists in the genre. We spoke with David Snyder about how he creates his automotive Americana artwork by hand, and how he recently helped raise over $100,000 for children's cancer research. You can see more at www.davidsnydercarart.com.

This week, we have a special episode of Muscle Car Of The Week featuring an exclusive interview with Stan Antlocer, former owner / driver of the 1963 Stan Long Pontiac Super Duty Tempest. This car was known in Super Stock A/FX racing as the "World's Fastest Tempest" and was a record holder. It is one of the 6 lightweight factory built cars made. Today, the car is completely restored, and we reunited Antlocer with the 421-powered monster after he last saw it back in 1964. It is one of the many vintage race cars in the Brothers Collection.
