Robert Kiyosaki is a fourth-generation Japanese-American who grew up in Hawaii. He joined the Marine Corps after graduating from college in New York, and went to Vietnam as an officer and helicopter gunship pilot. After the war, Robert went to work for the Xerox Corporation and in 1977 started a company that brought the first nylon Velcro surfer wallets to market. Feeling that he had something important to teach, Robert founded a new company in 1985 to teach business and investing to tens of thousands of students throughout the world.
At the age of 47 Robert retired from his business to devote time to writing, and in 1997 published the #1 New York Times best seller, Rich Dad Poor Dad. Soon afterward he wrote Rich Dad’s Cashflow Quadrant, Rich Dad’s Guide to Investing, and Rich Kid Smart Kid.
All the books have been on the best-seller lists of the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, New York Times, E-Trade.com, and other distinguished lists. Robert also created educational board games to teach individuals the same financial strategies his rich dad spent years teaching him… strategies that helped him retire at the age of 47.
Robert Kiyosaki’s goal is to give people information that will help them make their money work hard for them, rather than simply working hard for money.

DigitalMarketer it’s just smarter Google Strikes Back With One Day Shipping? Posted on December 2, 2011 It seems like a real world puts on the ground–type adventure for such an online–centric company. But it would appear that Google is eyeing the shipping business. According to the Wall Street Journal, Google is reportedly talking to the Macy’s, OfficeMax, and the Gap about a new plan to offer a 24–hour shipping. Apparently, Google would oversee the 1–day shipping action coordinating with the retailer’s dark room to ensure that the delivery action is possible with the given product. You have to wonder though, is Google really going to turn a profit as a modern day poly express? There’s a better than average chance that Google is working on this feature for this specific purpose of competing with Amazon, the new AmazonPrime feature in particular. For $79 a year, Amazon users can enjoy a 2–day shipping in addition to a bunch of other perks. With its 1 day shipping scheme, Google seems to be treating Amazon less like a partner and more like a rival. It’s important to note that Macy’s, OfficeMax, and The Gap already accept Google wallet payments. They’re in the inner circle. If the 1 day shipping feature gets the green light, you’ll probably see a lot more if easy place on the product list feature. Would that be enough to rival Amazon? No, not anytime soon anyway. If you haven’t spent any time on product search, we suggest you take it for a test drive. Search for your products. Search for your competitors products. You may be surprised of what you find. Early today the US Supreme Court requested that the Solicitor General file a brief in the case of ORTHO BIOTECH PRODUCTS, L.P. V. UNITED STATES, EX REL. DUXBURY.
A copy of the orders is available here.
This case, as outlined in todays Wall Street Journal law column, and also discussed on The SCOTUS Blog, is about the desire by Johnson & Johnson to get clarity on some technical questions related to the False Claims Act, or Qui Tam law, and hopefully spike one of the largest whistleblower cases in US history if it proceeds ahead to trial.
(Full disclosure, two of the principals of The Legal Broadcast Network, Attorney Jan Schlichtmann and Mark Wahlstrom are involved in this case as lead counsel and consultant to the litigation group.)
This case, which has been previously covered by The Wall Street Journal, and was thought to be dead thanks to a lower court ruling, was brought back to life by the US Court of Appeal in August and is not being aggressively argued on both sides as ...

Citigroup Inc's. (NYSE:C) stock is down nearly 5% in late-afternoon trading Monday in reaction to the announcement that the bank will repay the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP, $20 billion, but analysts say the news is good over the long term. As the Wall Street Journal put it, "Once the knee-jerk selling and the taxpayer is out of the way, Citi will be free to become a fat cat once again, and that should be good for the stock over the medium to long term." Repaying TARP is a sign of " financial strength and management strength" for any bank, said Chip MacDonald, partner, Jones Day, in a video interview with The Deal shot on Monday at the NYSE Euronext. Subscribers to The Deal Pipeline may read more on Citigroup's TARP repayment plan here. -- Mary Kathleen Flynn

Health Care Rally live from Portland Oregon. Keynote speaker was former Health Insurance insider Wendell Potter who is now a whistleblower on our for profit and corrupt Health Insurance system. We need to overhaul our healthcare system now because so many Americans are not covered and the whole host of other abuses that occur everyday in this country. The USA is the last of the major industrialised nations to have universal coverage. (Disclaimer: Views expressed here are not necessarily those of the video maker and are presented for informational and educational purposes only) He was a featured guest on a recent Bill Moyers interview http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/07102009/profile.html "In his first extended television interview since leaving the health insurance industry, Wendell Potter tells Bill Moyers why he left his successful career as the head of Public Relations for CIGNA, one of the nation's largest insurers, and decided to speak out against the industry. "I didn't intend to [speak out], until it became really clear to me that the industry is resorting to the same tactics they've used over the years, and particularly back in the early '90s, when they were leading the effort to kill the Clinton plan." Potter began his trip from health care spokesperson to reform advocate while back home in Tennessee. Potter attended a "health care expedition," a makeshift health clinic set up at a fairgrounds, and he tells Bill Moyers, "It was absolutely stunning. When I walked through the fairground gates, I saw hundreds of people lined up, in the rain. It was raining that day. Lined up, waiting to get care, in animal stalls. Animal stalls." Looking back over his long career, Potter sees an industry corrupted by Wall Street expectations and greed. According to Potter, insurers have every incentive to deny coverage â every dollar they don't pay out to a claim is a dollar they can add
