Mount Kailash (22,028 ft, 6,714 m), the famed holy peak, is situated to the north of the Himalayan barrier in Western Tibet. As per hindu religion beliefs, Lord Shiva along with his wife Parvati resided on Kailash Parvat. Hindu yatris cross the frozen mountain of India and Nepal to circle the peak that is Lord Shiva’s throne and take dip in the Mansarovar lake created from the manas (mind) of Brahma.
In this video, an erudite scholar, ritual master and practitioner of the highest degree from Tibet, Kyabje Zong Rinpoche talks about the incarnation lineage of Dorje Shugden and how the practice arose, with examples of Dorje Shugden's previous lives that reveal his powerful spiritual attainments and contributions. This very rare teaching was given at the request of Kyabje Zong Rinpoche's student, Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen, one of the pioneers who taught Buddhism in the West to many disciples since the 1970s. On April 25, 2018, while arriving at Gaggal Airport (Himachal Pradesh, India), His Holiness the Dalai Lama made some extraordinary comments on the wellbeing of his chosen Panchen Lama candidate Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, and gives his endorsement of the Chinese-backed Panchen Lama, Gyaltsen Norbu. In this video, His Holiness the Dalai Lama not only acknowledges that the boy he recognised as the 11th Panchen Lama is alive and well, and receiving a good education, but His Holiness also praises the fact the Chinese-recognised Panchen Lama is receiving a good education from a good teacher. In fact, His Holiness the Dalai Lama in this video addresses the China-recognised Panchen Lama as the official one. The Dalai Lama then goes on to state that there can be two reincarnations of the same person existing at the same time, and even provides a past example to support his statement, in the form of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, who reincarnated back as five different people. With the Dalai Lama’s acknowledgement of the Chinese-backed Panchen Lama as an authentic reincarnation, it is time for everyone to respect the Dalai Lama’s wishes, and his recognition that both Panchen Lama candidates are valid. Therefore, as the Dalai Lama mentioned, one incarnation holds the official seat and the other continues to benefit others in his own special way. By criticising either of the Panchen Lamas, it is to criticise His Holiness in this and his spiritual authority over the matter. Read more here: http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/?p=159261
Few world destinations ignite the imagination like Tibet, the plateau of peace that's been annexed by mainland China. While Han people are being imported by the trainload to make Tibet more Chinese, this vast stateless nation continues to evoke the serene and surreal preconceptions of its Buddhist mountain culture. Rings of Himalayan peaks provide the backdrop to a landscape of arid unending plains, while every village continues to stoically protect and preserve its indigenous culture.
Xining is a mesmerizing cultural crossroads, harmoniously combining each of Qinghai's disparate communities. In one day you can explore the Tulou Temple of Beishan Mountain, Qinghai Tibet Cultural Centre, Museum of China Tibetan Medicine Culture, Xining Donguan Mosque, and the crumbling relics of Xining Nanshan Mountain. Each is impressive, but the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts. China's largest lake, Kokonor is a wide peaceful space surrounded by the dust of the desert.

Campbell demonstrates how Tibetan Buddhists turn the ritual experience of death into a spiritual exercise. Trace with him the stages of the Tibetan Book of the Dead in which the Llama prepares a dying man and his family for the final moments of life. This passage, in fact, is a journey downward through the chakras, the centers of energy of Kundalini Yoga. Campbell reveals how the Eastern tradition reaches its most sophisticated expression in the art, philosophy and mysticism in the Buddhism of Tibet.

Muzaffarabad, December 16, 2014: Pakistan goes ahead with Chinese projects in PoK defying local resistance, Islamabad selling Pakistan’s natural resources to China without consent of Kashmiris. Notwithstanding India’s objections and International norms to China-backed developmental projects in PoK, Pakistan is going ahead with its plans, including the multi-billion dollar Sino-Pak economic corridor. Chinese strategy vis-à-vis PoK appears to be heading toward gaining tacit control of the region — both militarily and politico-diplomatically. By increasing investments and sponsoring various "development projects" in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of PoK, the activities involving several thousand Chinese personnel belonging to the construction corps of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) seem to point towards an expansionist Chinese geo-strategic agenda in the region. China's Western Highway, also known as the Lhasa-Kashgar/Xinjiang Highway connects Xinjiang to Tibet. From Quilanaldi, the road branches off to the Khunjerab Pass and, subsequently, becomes the Karakoram Highway right up to Gilgit. Pakistan is also selling off mines in the region. Locals are here very angry.

Guge was an ancient kingdom in Western Tibet. The kingdom was centered in present-day Zanda County, within Ngari Prefecture of Tibet. At various points in history after 10th century AD, the kingdom held sway over a vast area including south-eastern Zanskar, Upper Kinnaur, and Spiti valley either by conquest or as tributaries. The ruins of the former capital of Guge kingdom are located at Tsaparang in the Sutlej valley, not far from Mount Kailash and 1,200 miles (1,900 km) westwards from Lhasa.

The name Ladakh conjures an image of a land of many passes. It nestles in the trans Himalayan region bordered by Pakistan and Tibet at heights of 2600 to 7000 m above sea level. Ladakh receives less than 100 mm of rainfall in a year and is a high altitude cold desert region with temperatures dropping to -40 degrees Celsius. Home to an estimated 170,000 people who live in remote villages and hamlets, it is completely cut off from the outside world for more than 5 months in a year. More than half the villages and hamlets are accessible by foot, up to 3 days walking from nearest motorable point. As other energy forms were unviable, Solar was the natural choice, considering that Ladakh is blessed with sunshine for more than 300 days in a year. Watch the video to discover how Tata BP Solar transformed the lives of the inhabitants of Ladakh, bringing light and hope to their doorstep…

Erik Daniel Shein presents Serpentauria a co-Production with Enriching Pictures Inc. This book is the first in a series of family oriented adventures, Serpentauria: Ark of Extinction’s and is available now. Work begins on the film in early 2012. Serpentauria—Latin origin (serpens, serpe•ns); something that is magic, the bearer of potent mythical powers. “A medallion holds the power to become an Animal Guardian | A Defender of Earth’s Living Treasures.” Many of the world’s spiritual leaders, as well as indigenous teachers and professionals, acknowledge the energy center of our planet shifted in 1987 from the Masculine energies of Tibet to the Feminine energies of Peru, and more particular, Lake Titicaca, Machu Picchu, and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. There is also a prophecy all the Americas, north and south, were once bonded by a spiritual tradition and leader—and that one day they will be again. In eons past, they were united and known as Amaru-ca, ‘The Land of the Serpent’ and the symbol of the serpent was universally accepted as one of spiritual strength and wisdom. “According to legend there is a special place, guarded against all evil by the ‘winged serpent.’ A place that serves humans and animals alike to create and maintain balance and harmony between, humans, nature and our world’s ecosystem.” As you’ll find out, it is not just a legend… Serpentauria: Ark of Extinction is packed with thrills, science and fantasy. http://adducent.co/2011/12/01/book-trailer-serpentauria-ark-of-extinction/

Marmots are generally large ground squirrels. Those most often referred to as marmots tend to live in mountainous areas, (marmots Himalayana) are spread across rocky barrens of Ladakh, Tibet, Nepal, and even Mongolia.
Ladakh is very lyrical .more than the rarified atmosphere ,it is the amazing mountains that take your breath away. But in crevasses of giant rocky outcrops lie the most beautiful surp...rises. The barren mountainsides hold little lives which are known as Marmots. Also known as the Tibetan snow pig, these creatures burrow their way under the rocks and feed mostly on berries and small vegetation.
Tso-Moriri, the 15-by-5 mile lake, is a good place to spot marmot. Travelers also tell tales of spotting marmots about 15 miles from Pangong Tso, on the way back to Leh. Locals say this is the spot to catch some friendly marmots in action âonly because they know that passing travelers will feed them goodies. Marmots are difficult to spot during winter as they tend to hibernate
