How to use do it yourself (DIY) flexible plastic tubes on your Styrofoam centerpiece. They add height and color to your creation, and can also support a second level. Unlike glass and acrylic tubes, these are non breakable and are also light weight for easy handling and lo shipping. Perfect for both real and silk floral wedding arrangements. Can be used for theme centerpieces and other party decorations. Suitable for bar and bat mitzvah centerpieces, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, as well as other parties and corporate events. All you need are these tubes, a styrofoam base, some low temperature glue, and colored fill. A good eye or bubble level helps! From A-BnC Parties and More, Inc. Whether you want a crisp mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc, or a luscious fruit-forward Syrah, you have to pay close attention to the temperature of the fermentation so that you can achieve those goals. Crushpad winemaker, Kian Tavakoli explains it all.
The Crystal Weather Station adds a beautiful "wow" factor to any home or office. The laser-engraved, 3D weather icons inside the crystal display are not only beautiful, but they also help you determine the weather forecast at a glance. A red sun means it's time to hit the beach; green rain, grab an umbrella; and blue clouds, leave the frisbee at home.
The black base of the Crystal Weather Station features a large LCD screen which displays the time and the indoor temperature. You can set the display to cycle between modes or to only respond to the wave of your hand. This is the perfect gift for the man who has everything...except the Crystal Weather Station. Because if he already has this, then giving it to him would be a little silly.
Radical! The bodacious 80's Cube Clock will surely bring back fond memories of DeLoreans, Gremlins, and Strawberry Shortcake. Styled after the mind-boggling Rubik's Cube, this clock changes modes when you rotate the top. The Cube Clock features the following modes: clock, alarm, calendar (displays date as well as the day of the week), and temperature (Celsius and Fahrenheit). Totally righteous!
The USB Drink Warmer and 4-port USB hub is probably the most useful USB-powered device we've come across. Not only does it provide several useful functions, but it actually makes a ton of sense for it to be USB powered.
Many of us enjoy tasty beverages while working on a computer. The USB Drink Warmer will keep that drink warm! In addition to its drink warming abilities, the USB Drink Warmer also includes four USB 2.0 ports and a backlit LCD display which shows the temperature of the heating pad (in F or C) as well as the current time.
Features an on/off switch as well as an alarm.
The shape of the North American continent has changed radically over millions of years. During the great Ice Age, glaciers carved out the Great Lakes; as the Earth's temperature rose, they filled with glacier melt. The Great Salt Lake is just a shadow of its former self. And as tectonic plates continue to move, America moves closer to Europe each year.
In the last ten years over 360 children have died from being left in a hot car. That's an average of 36 per year, according to a study by Meteorologist Jan Null of Golden Gate Weather Services.
Hyperthermia is the overheating of the body, and many parents are unaware of how dangerous a car can become for a small child in just a few minutes. On a 75 degree day, the interior of a vehicle can reach over 100 degrees in about a half hour. Studies show that the interior temperature will continue to increase about 45 degrees every hour.
Safety advocates like the Safe Kids Organization and General Motors are working to bring awareness to this preventable tragedy and ensure child car safety this summer.
Never leave your child alone in a vehicle. It's also important to keep parked cars locked at all times. Unlocked vehicles can be an attractive playground for older children and quickly become dangerous if a child gets locked in.

The 3,150 metre long Lefortovo tunnel, in Russia , (near POLAND ) is the longest in-city tunnel in Europe . It is nicknamed 'The Tunnel of Death'. See why, for yourself.
There is a river running over the tunnel and water leaks at some points. When the temperature reaches nearly 0C, as it does in winter in Russia, the road freezes and becomes as slippery as ...well...ice.
The result is the attached video which was taken during a single day with the tunnel surveillance camera.
Congratulations to the dual-carriage bus driver...imagine the passengers in the back...

NATURE braves the extreme conditions of earth's southernmost continent for a close-up look at the varied "Penguins of the Antarctic." As night falls in Antarctica, biting winds cast horizontal snow across the dark backs of a mass of huddled emperor penguins. The temperature is 50 below zero, the gales are 90 miles per hour, and the sun won't rise again for more than two months.
NATURE captures these amazing — and well dressed — flightless birds shivering on the ice as well as gliding through their most comfortable element, the water — a balmy bath compared to the air temperature above — where the Emperors can hold their breath up to 20 minutes and dive a mile deep. Meanwhile, on the shores of Zavodovski Island, an active volcano, two million Chinstrap penguins breed and travel on their own "superhighway" between the sea and their colonies on higher ground — taking care to evade the occasional 12-foot long leopard seal, which can consume six penguins in an hour. “Penguins of the ...

Both opiate and barbiturate users suffer the same problems trying to quit and need help. Drug abusers will usually have an enlarged kidney, liver or spleen, constipation, hemorrhoids, venereal disease and tracks. Barbiturate users will generally show signs of an unsteady walk, rapid eye moment, slurred speech and sometimes be in a semi-comatose state. During their detoxification, opiate users may be plagued with anxiety, irritability, lack of sleep, sweating, runny nose, dilated pupils, increased pulse, appetite loss, high temperature, vomiting and diarrhea. Barbiturate users will normally be restless, lack energy, experience nausea, have cramps, twitch, have tremors, vomit and, if untreated, they can die. Both types of users will be slowly weaned off drugs by using a smaller and smaller amount of another drug. Once the process is complete, addicts are encouraged to seek counseling if they really want to have a drug-free life. See the full length: www.qualityinformationpublishers.com
Trailer: The National Bureau of Standards of the United States Department of Commerce has been examining the characteristics of carbon dioxide. It is well known that when a liquid has its surrounding temperature raised, more gaseous molecules are formed. The National Bureau of Standards study was looking at the effects of raising the temperature of a cell of liquid carbon dioxide and how its density will be affected. At 31 degrees Celsius, the critical point is reached. The critical point is where the density of liquid molecules and gaseous molecules is equal. The Bureau uses three balls to monitor how the density changes during the heat up and the cool down. There is actually a phenomenon that occurs in the carbon dioxide during the cool down, in which the carbon dioxide begins to look opaque. See the full length at: www.qualityinformation.com

ING has determined that the Hungarian Grand Prix could benefit from more challenging format. Next to Monaco, the Hungaroring is the circuit with the lowest average speed - due to its 14 curves and relatively short straightaway. Overtaking usually results from other driver’s mistakes or a clever pit stop strategy. Usually this summer Formula One Grand Prix is a real high-temperature race and the number of curves takes its toll on the drive’s concentration. The track is very sandy - just like the plains of Hungary. That means poor traction. The cars are set up for maximum downforce. The many curves make good vehicle balance crucial. Heat and dust not only play a big role in the cockpit, but in vehicle technology as well. Frequent shifting and changes in speed mean excessive strain on the car’s mechanical and electronic components. The Hungarian Grand Prix represents the ideal transition into the summer break fort the Formula One.
