Having spent the best part of three years in the trenches of absolute existential crisis, there arrived a clearer direction and a full program of what is the next thing to do. Get on with it and take time to enjoy it! We reach back into the past for building positive foundations of strength for the future to come. This deliverance of lessons and clarity of mind depicts a grander expression of one’s own humble mortal existence. What can one do to build a better future? Starting from scratch is the blessed of all actions, because we can then build a new life, new rules, new strengths, and finally fulfill our goals, destiny, and live a life well examined.

‘Don’t Walk Away’, by ELO, was the firing of the ‘Creation of Hippie-ville’ in early 2023.
It was a cold grey cloudy day. Summer was cold and bleak. Winter was long and it engulfed eleven months of the year. I had spent all of 2021, ’22, and early 2023, numb. My dog and I walked many beaches in some listless search for a reasoning behind the catastrophe that had occurred in 2021. Many paths we had walked along the beach and each day our steps were washed away. Walking, aimlessly, just puzzled with the true realities of human suffering, attachment, and simply trying to make sense of all things after a traumatic event.
Songs had played out in my mind many times, but this succession of songs (Hippie-ville Creation Series) had repeated themselves throughout many “therapeutic” dog walk sessions along Somerset beach, and there upon a story unfolded. A story of emptiness, alienation, and building new foundations. Irrespective of one’s pain and suffering, life, the external manifestation of life, continues in its unrelenting fashion. And life pays no mind to one’s own mortal misery. But numb, I sat on the idea of Hippie-ville for many months with no real action. Then in August 2023, the first shooting of the series began (Everybody’s Talkin’) and what laid out before me was a full story depicting recovery from a traumatic event, and a phoenix flight to a new life.
‘Don’t Walk Away’ is set in 2021/’22/’23, and it is Part One of a DOUBLE ALBUM concept, that describes the loss, the pain, the rebuilding. In Part Two ‘Always Welcome’ ( • Always Welcome, Creation Series 5/8. , begins its story in Jan 2024, and it describes the phoenix rising out of the ashes, a settled frame of mind and time of rebirth and a new life.

Bring the Peace 3/8, is inspired by Molly. My dog. Who in her own little way, helped me through a challenging time. One could lay about and fester in the doldrums of existential depression and careless about the workings of life. Or, one must get up everyday and take a dog for a walk. Molly came from South Korea. Her hometown, per se, is Daegu. Thanks to some excellent people who helped Molly fly to Australia and enjoy a better quality of life for a dog.
Animals share this planet with us. And we share this planet with them. Animals are so grounding. They show us what really matters in life. We ought to do better to take care of animals as they take care of us.

Society 2/8, is inspired by two people who died at a young age (40s & 50s) with whom I had known when I was younger. Jason and Jamie. Jason had taken his own life and his suicide had shocked me - the young kid was gone! Jamie, who died of cancer, he was a nice guy, but he couldn't keep his dick in his pants; he had fathered 13 children to a variety of different women. Irrespective of what they had done in their lives, I thought that they had died too young. So, at the tender age of 50, I vowed to make a fuller experience of life based on what is available. This isn't to say that we need to go mountain climbing or bungy jumping and the like, but just to stop and look around us. Because we will never have this time again.
Where is this society going?
What are we doing with our time?
Couldn't we find a better way other than abusing ourselves, abusing the environment, abusing animals, and harming each other!?
Why do we find violence entertaining?
Creativity is freedom!

Having had a significant life change, Hippie-ville was brought into the forefront of daily activities and a reason for existence.
