Saks Fifth Avenue comes alive with the 2013 debut of its Snowflake Spectacular, a dramatic light show projected onto the building. Snowflakes, dancers, gifts and a Yeti interact on the facade of the New York flagship store through state-of-the-art projection technology. The traffic-stopping, 3D spectacle utilizes a custom-built six-projector system and a unique musical score to tell the story of the Snowflake and The Yeti. This year, the six animated Fifth Avenue windows feature the story of the legendary Yeti, who is rumored to live on the roof at Saks, making snow during the holiday season. Each window depicts a scene from Yeti’s life, from his humble beginnings as an unappreciated snowmaker in Siberia to his starring role as a true snowflake artist in New York. Special performances by The American Ballet Theater Dancers and The Young Peoples Chorus of New York City are followed by a VIP performance by Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell. This year, Cadillac and MasterCard bring the holiday windows to you.

I was given a chance to speak at a yoga conference yesterday (Rasa-Lila by Yoga Tampa Bay) and prior to the event I flippantly asked a friend of mine what she thought I should speak about. She responded by suggesting that I think about what I would say if this was the last chance I would have to address people. The result is that I now want to share one of my key points with you.
Initially the title for the speech was, âTransforming Stressâ but it eventually became, âOptimism, Action and Ahimsa (non-violence)â because I think there is a lot of talk about how âstressedâ weâve become. I believe that the vast majority of this stress comes from the mistaken cultural assumption that we are really quite important and that our ridiculously full, faced-paced, non-stop days are proof of that very thing.
I believe that we need, rather desperately really, to tone down our excessive self-obsession â yes, itâs true, you and I and everyone around us is a precious little snowflake, unique and wonderful and fragile ...
3D printers have been around for a while, however, just until recently are the general consumer beginning to hear about them and actually have the chance to buy them. How does it work? Just as you think it might. An object is designed - Bunny, Lego Man, snowflake - using your computer, then that design gets sent to the 3D printer. Rather then just drawing a picture of the object on a piece of paper, it literally builds the object using melted plastic. Building the object layer by layer until its completion.

There is no set formula for determining the value of a personal injury case. Just like a snowflake, no two cases are the same. How then do attorneys, insurance companies, and juries can place a dollar amount on an injury that has no exact market value? Unlike in real estate and cars, there are no generally accepted appraised values for a broken leg, an injured back, or a facial scar. The value of an injury is determined by numerous factors, each one of which is unique to the particular case.
First, there must be an assessment that a party is legally liable for an injury and that negligence exists. This element is based upon statutes and case law which impose legal duties on people and businesses. For example, the drive of a car has a legal duty to observe the car driving in front of him and maintain enough distance from that car to stop his vehicle in a safe manner without causing a collision. Also, a business has a legal duty to its customers to remove the hazards of snow and ice with a reasonable time after the natural accumulation of the snow and ice.personal injury lawyermichiganattorneypersonal injury lawsuitscar accidentslip and fallmedical malpracticewrongful deathfair settlement

The snowflake lights that decorated the design studio of Sax Fifth Avenue in NYC flashed on and off to the time and beat of a popular Christmas carol. (Sans the first few seconds of the intro because I was a bit slow with the camera. There were so many people I could barely move my arms out).
