Gudauri offers epic backcountry snowboarding in the Greater Caucausus range. Despite of having one of the driest winter in the last decade, at that point my main concern was just to get away and relax after having mcl injury(about 4 days ago) . All of the inbound terrain I had heard so much about had been tracked out days before and while the view was amazing the riding was not. As e result, we preferred to ascend the summits of Mt. Chldiri, Mt. Bidara, Mt. Kudebi and enjoyed breathtaking view and thrilling ascents on crusty and icy snow. I think that Gudauri is one of the best place to create experience in the backcountry snowboarding. I will definitely visit the Caucasus region in near future again…

In this video segment you will hear thoughts on style from snowboarding legends (as well as rookies) like Nicolas Mueller (SUI), Heikki Sorsa (FIN), Todd Richards (USA), Marco Grilc (SLO), Mikkel Bang (NOR) and Stale Sandbech (NOR). Also ...
