Manuel regresó a la Mina Buenaventura. Por otro lado, Verónica sigue coqueteando con Víctor Serrano, pese a que tiene pareja. Vicenta está enferma, su médico le pide que se realice una serie de exámenes.
Tras descubrir el engañó de Víctor, Nora decidió irse a Santiago. Por otro lado, Blake ha decidido devolverle la mina a los hermanos Serrano. Su problema de salud le impide seguir trabajando en ella. Vicenta decidió enviar a Pascual a Santiago para que estudie y así deje sus problemas de lado.
Continúa la crisis en la mina Buenaventura, los empleados están en huelga. Víctor Serrano fue herido a bala por los trabajadores de Blake. Hans está pensando en regresar a su país para ayudar a su familia pero tiene miedo.
Los hermanos Serrano están pasando por un mal momento, Pascual, el hijo de Vicenta los metió en un grave problema. Por otro lado, Nora está realizando clases a los niños de la región. Vicenta convirtió la casa de los hermanos Serrano en un hotel. El domicilio es bastante grande y por lo mismo sobran habitaciones para arrendar.
La mina Buenaventura no está pasando por su mejor momento, los trabajadores se quejan de la falta de trabajo, al parecer los hermanos Serrano tendrán que despedir a algunos de sus empleados.
Un violento incendió afecto la casa de los hermanos Serrano, Blake está detrás de todo esto. Por otro lado, Pascual quiere conquistar a Verónica. Los hermanos Serrano visitaron una casa de remolienda para encontrar gente que quiera trabajar con ellos.
Los hermanos Serrano sufrieron la pérdida de su padre y su tío, una mala maniobra en un pique fue la causa de una fuerte caída que terminó con su vida. Ahora Víctor y Manuel deberán luchar para defender la mina. Por otro lado, William Blake tiene intenciones de comprar Buenaventura. ¿Cuál será la decisión de los hermanos Serrano?
