This is a slightly reedited version of my first video which is an AMV of Gundam Seed Destiny's Kira Yamato and Shinn Asuka battling to take down the Destroy Gundam, then later carrying out an alternate version of the famous duel from Phase 34. My video altered the events slightly, to make them appear more cooperative during the battle over Berlin against Destroy, and later the duel I intentionally altered to make it seem more inconclusive. I tried to illustrate why they were fighting and that together they were able to do great things. The last half of the video I have mixed feelings about, but decided to keep it for the flashback sections to Stella and Athrun and I admittedly like how I ended the fight, paying homage to two good fighters. (Granted I have made it abundantly clear that I believe Shinn is the better pilot elsewhere). The song is one I feel strongly about as it is from Robotech and a particular point in the series which its either the protagonists band together with former enemies to fight the good fight against an invading force, or face mutual destruction and the loss of Earth. It was one of my favorite scenes in the anime that really got me into Japanese animation and Mecha in general. Not to mention, I find its message to be very strong and the scene it played it was oh so memorable. I did admittedly make sure to get the Murasames into the fight with a pretty glorious role, as a bit of a tribute to the transformable Veritech fighters from Robotech. =) At any rate, I hope you enjoy my video, slightly reedited to remove the background sound effects that I left in in the original and with a new credits screen as the original was hardly readable and soundless and that's just boring!
This was suppose to be the plot line after the Macross story arch was over. But it got canceled and the Masters plot line that we all know about took its place, so enjoy!!!
