Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s most memorable speech from his life as an activist, "I Have a Dream," was delivered August 28, 1963 before more than 200,000 people in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. as part of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. The speech not only helped to galvanize the already growing civil-rights movement across the country at the time, it also became one of the most influential and inspirational pieces of rhetoric in American history. Remarkably, midway through his delivery, King suspended his pre-scripted text and began to improvise; what resulted was the speech's most recognizable section, the passage in which the words "I have a dream" are passionately repeated.

Most cinematographers dream of going to Hollywood. For cinematographer Mihai Malaimare Jr., Hollywood came to him. See how his Sony camera, a visit by Francis Ford Coppola and a passion to create great films, gave him all the pieces he needed to become a cinematographer others admirer.

Let me ask you two questions. First, how many sit ups have you done to date, but still not seen any visible signs of a six pack? Secondly, how many pieces of home gym equipment have you stored under the bed or in the garage that you didn't touch after New Year's Day?
The truth is that you gave up on these things a long time ago because they flat out do not work, am I right?
It's the same reason overweight people jump from fad diet to fad diet every 3 months...and it's the same reason that these fad diets generate billions in revenue from desperate people looking to lose weight. It's also the same reason why every day, you see a new machine, patch, plan or system that promises you the best body ever without you doing anything.
It's selling a dream that people simply buy into every time, without even thinking about it.
But just think about it for a second, if those fads actually worked, then why are so many new ones being released each day, week, month or year?
Dream is a mystery that researchers had been figuring out long ago.
From the period of Surrealism till today, Dreams have help artists in their creativity.
Salvador Dali is one of the famous artists who have applied his Dreams into his art pieces.
This 2D animation applied a similar method by using my personal dream elements drawn up from my dream journal. It shows a conflict between the conscious
and the subconscious mind in a person to enhance the point that the line between the virtual world and the reality is really blur.
Conflict within the cerebral sparks off when the Subconscious has been disturbing the Conscious. Even though the Conscious has tried to stop the Subconscious' action, it still continues. This results in the conflict of the actions of the human figure.
Whether the Conscious will succeed in stopping the Subconscious' action, the verdict will soon unfold.
This is a piece created by ambient/electronica artist Dean De Benedictis (aka Surface 10, aka Surface 10 Activity). Live computer graphics were generated over a performance he gave on radio station KXLU in Los Angeles, 2008. Both Modul 8 and Blender 3D were used to create this imagery. Fans of Surface 10: most of these pieces will eventually be for purchase (as a superior quality) on DVD. For info on this, or the music of Surface 10, visit myspace.com/surface10 or fatelessmusic.com/surface10.html
Turlough O'Carolan was an irish harpist who lived in the mid-1600s and wrote pieces for the people he met and stayed with - playing music in exchange for hospitality. Tradition has it that the harp was played last thing at night, before people went to bed.
The building I'm playing it in was a bakery built around 1790, serving the local houses. The bread oven is in the stone wall behind me. It's a great mixture of old and new and a great place to play this music.
Appropriately, I recorded this piece very late one night, and just went with the first take so the playing has the odd rough bits. I like to think that's authentic - apparently Carolan never played the same way twice.
Only the melodies survive, so I've done this arrangement myself and I'm playing it here on a Pilgrim gut-strung harp. The arrangement and video is my copyright. You are welcome to learn and play the arrangement (by ear - I haven't written it down!) if you like it - but please credit me if you play it in public.
It started off with a little gal pursuing a little dream, and she worked hard... As we look back now, it's like bits and pieces of memories, recorded in our very own photo album~ ♥BoA♥
Today, I realised that everything i?ve been looking for is right here in front of me.
It?s happening right now.
It might not be your dream, but it?s mine, and I?ve only put the pieces together after meeting everyone at Pixelodeon and seeing all the curated sessions of films.
This is why i?ve fallen in love with internet video distribution. Funny how it?s taken me so long to realise the obvious.
I guess i was too busy looking ahead for the one big idea, and not realising that it wasn?t a ?show?.
As we say in Jedi school :
It?s not the End, it?s the Means Whereby .
And as the Dwarf said in Twin Peaks:
Let?s rock.
