http://www.facebook.com/MrDean2005 Hi Guys n girls another vid from MrDean2005 we are going to be uploading a series of short video's on some of the guitars we have Swirled.Reason for this is quite simple,i recieve tons of emails asking me does swirling affect the sound of the guitar. My answer to this is NO the guitar is not under the water long enough whilst swirling to do any long term damage,so the next request on many emails is "It would be nice to hear these guitars being played.OMG put me on the spot. Ok my guitar playing is not that good Yet, only been playing for a short time LOL, so we have asked a friend Colin to play some of the guitars!! Just by placing a pick on a different part of the string, creates a big change in sounds. This is the first video in a two-part series. In this video, I describe in detail the different parts that make up a Stratocaster that I used in one of the promotional videos for the Analog Alien FuzzBubble-45. The video is called, "The FuzzBubble-45, Unleashed". The start is not a stock Fender. It has been modified heavily by me in order to get a tone similar to the one SRV got with his #1 Strat. The Body is a 2005 Eric Johnson with a purr nitro finish. The neck is made by Warmoth. I bought it back in the mid 80's. The pickups are a set of hand wound Sliders model 59-SRV and sound killer.
Just as important as anything the guitar is made of are the strings that you put on it. I used a set of GHS 1300's to get that SVR tone. This is the same set that Stevie used on his Stratocasters.
For more information about the guitars, amps and other equipment that I use, and to get my secret tip on how you can get a killer guitar sound while you improve your playing technique at the same time, visit the Analog Alien web site and sign up for the fuzzZone. It's fun, it's informative, and best of all, it's FREE!

When it comes to pickups, Ford still takes the cake. But, after http://www.WatchMojo.com spent a week behind the wheel of the Nissan Titan, it'€™s clear to see they'€™re not far off.

"Something a little different in Gretsch and Fender Land!" - 7-16-2009 ... Whoa, I hit upon something nice!, I love this "Fender Jaguar HH" Guitar I recently scored but I just wasn't wild about the sound, pickups, so I began thinking and experimenting so decided to try replacing the stock White Duncan pickups with some Gretsch Filtertrons from a 1996 Gretsch Double Anniversity Guitar. Well, it was a task beyond duty first enlarging the pickguard holes, putting in wood shims, foam underneath ,,, but the the hardest part, was trying to figure out the wiring logic? being that the stock Duncans in the HH were four conductor wires with another bare ground. After several trials, I figured out which was the proper Hot and Ground (black to hot:; green and bare to ground for the neck pup and Red to hot and green and bare to ground for the bridge pup ,,, and throw away the red and white wires) )and then which wires to which in all the mini circuits then I had trouble with one of the pups sounding weaker and buzzing horribly if you got near it. I finally figured out that it was those rollers in the Jaguar H Rhythm circuit that were playing a funny game and that I had to turn thm off. I still have to study that more! Very complicated wiring system! Anyway, Much to my suprise after I got it all together, I fell in love with this guitar! It just has something, a real sweet Gretsch like sound but all it's own! The bridge pup almost sounds like a soft Telecaster. Has the twang but sof and Gretsch like! And these are stock 90's Gretsch Pickups! I was thinking of trying different pups too but it sounds so good and has a character, that I'm keeping it stock, at least for awhile, maybe perm?,,, I have to test it out with the Band (Field Test) next. Anyway, wanted to share!, This may be one of my best sounding fave axes yet? Something different in Gretsch and Fender Land! Category: Music

On Saturday, July 11th the New England Electric Auto Association sponsored an electric car show at the Deep River Public Library. On display were a number of converted vehicles, including two small pickups, three cars, an electric scooter, and even a converted riding lawn mower.
Deep River resident Dave Oliveria was there with his converted 1998 Ford Ranger. Oliveria is able to commute to his job in Middletown without using a single drop of gas. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Another Success Story! I installed some early 70's Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Mini Humbucker pickups that I bid on last week on E-Bay into one of my Squier Jagmaster Guitars and they worked and sound Fantastic! It was a little trying but I succeeded! They have their own sound! Really Clean, Twangish, Warm, Dynamic, The only problem I had were the mounting screw sizes which will have to be corrected eventually. The pickups set alittle low from the strings but in a passable zone! The Guitar still sounds Amazing! May be one of my best sounding yet!

GMC's All-New 2010 Terrain and All-New 2009 Yukon Denali Hybrid Makes World Debuts at the 2009 New York International Auto Show
Needing to reduce brands and models to compete, General Motors has combined three of its most recognized brands; Buick, Pontiac and GMC into one sales and marketing channel - which means many dealers, who had one or two of the brands previously, will now sell all three under one roof. GM says each brand will play to its strengths - Buick larger, premium cars; Pontiac sportier cars; and GMC pickups, SUV's and Crossovers. This will create a middle sales channel, between GM's global value brand Chevrolet and its high-end luxury brand, Cadillac.
At the 2009 New York International Auto Show, GMC debuted two new models. The all-new 2010 Terrain is a five-passenger crossover SUV that blends bold styling with fuel efficiency and premium features. The all-new 2009 Yukon Denali Hybrid was also unveiled. A luxurious, full-size SUV that seats eight, it tows up to 5,800 pounds and achieves...

Pickup Trucks Represent Second Largest Segment of the Auto Market
Most people think of small cars and big gas mileage when it comes to hybrid vehicles. But, what about those with a need for more space, utility, and brawniness? Enter the hybrid pickup truck.
Hybrid pickup trucks are unique because they have exceptional fuel economy, but drive and are fueled the same way as a normal pickup truck. While they are usually more expensive than their non-hybrid counterparts, from a cost-benefit analysis, experts say that it's really not much of a premium.
Still a powerful punch, not only do the new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra hybrid pickups have fuel economy that's 50% better in the city, they offer over 300 horsepower and 1,500 pounds payload - as well as 6,100 pounds of towing, so you don't have to compromise on a full-size truck. In fact, these hybrid pickup trucks have the same mileage as many popular 4-cylinder mid-size cars. Experts say the versatile pickup truck is here to stay, as the ...
