Gilgit Baltistan, May 26, 2015: The problem of availability of basic amenities seems imperishable in Gilgit Baltistan. The major one being electricity crisis has been making life of the region suffer thoroughly. People of Gilgit Baltistan lead a miserable life. Basic amenities like shelter, food and even job opportunities are like perishing for the population here. However nowadays what has been torturing the citizens of Gilgit is the electricity crisis. With passage of time the problem of load shedding has been rising, leading to no resolution taking place in future. And negligence of authority regarding the issue has increased the rage of the citizens residing in Gilgit Baltistan. Gilgit Baltistan is one of the most neglected and backward regions under Pakistan’s command. More than three-fourth population of the region lives below the poverty line. And due to the corrupt administrative system, the people here do not get any financial help and basic facilities. The allocation of funds for other regions to Pakistan is based on their population, development and educational facilities, but this yardstick is not applied for the people of Gilgit.

The other day I spoke with a 38 year old woman who had no idea who Humphrey Bogart was. It made me realize that in this world we live in today where everybody wants to be famous, the fame, if attained, will eventually be made meaningless by the passage of time. And that perhaps what we should be striving for, above all else, is love, happiness and inner peace.

Global stocks are lower after consumer spending fell in June for the first time in two years. Economic concerns are outweighing the likely passage of the bill raising the debt ceiling today. Gold is rising to a new record, and the euro is tumbling.
Nilus Mattive explains an investing strategy that makes the passage of time work for you â dollar-cost averaging. He shows that investing the same amount every month in the S&P 500 ETF would have delivered an 18% profit despite a drop in the market.
You know, many years ago, I discovered a critical key that every parent has in his or her hand to release the future destiny of a son or daughter. And that this key is the key of blessing, imparting blessing. You know, almost every culture in the world has a rite of passage at the time of puberty â some way to release a boy to be a man or a girl to be a woman â except our culture. Our culture is virtually the void of that here in North America and our Western-European base culture. And many people have discovered in recent years the power in ceremony like Jewish people have â a bar mitzvah type of ceremony orbatmitzvah â where a boy is released to be a man, a girl is released to be a woman. And in much of our Christian heritage, we really donât know how to do that. And so, for many years, people asked me, âHow would I go about doing that? I want to have a celebration like that, but Iâm not Jewish. So I donât know how to have a bar mitzvah. How would we do that?â And so I wrote a little book called Bar ...
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s most memorable speech from his life as an activist, "I Have a Dream," was delivered August 28, 1963 before more than 200,000 people in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. as part of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. The speech not only helped to galvanize the already growing civil-rights movement across the country at the time, it also became one of the most influential and inspirational pieces of rhetoric in American history. Remarkably, midway through his delivery, King suspended his pre-scripted text and began to improvise; what resulted was the speech's most recognizable section, the passage in which the words "I have a dream" are passionately repeated.

Julia Kwan's short film captures the experience of a young woman as she travels to a new country. As summer opens into spring, mother and daughter build a life together. The taste and texture of each season, whether the ice-cream smell of summer, the crisp birch air of autumn, or the warmth of winter dumplings -- are lovingly rendered in animation, sound and image. Throughout the passage of time, the persistence of love endures, as resolute and unchanging as the cycle of the season.

Morning at Sea on the way to Puerto Rico. The Old World fort of El Morro at the tip of the island kept invaders literally "at bay" for hundreds of years, making Puerto Rico a pivotal location in history and geography. Not such a far trip from St. Thomas, Puerto Rico is actually visible from a hilltop vantage point on St. Thomas. In fact, we spent most of the night's passage from one island to the other idling, just far enough out to sea to allow the ship's casinos to be open for business. It would have been nice to walk around St. Thomas in the early evening, and enjoy the unique experience of a Caribbean island sunset *from* the island. Maybe we could have had time for a drink and some shopping at a relaxed pace after our action-packed day of shore excursions, but as usual: Just follow the money. The casinos need to be open.
During the first few years of a male's life, the inside fold of his foreskin is attached to his glans, very much the way the eyelids of a newborn kitten are sealed closed. The tissue that connects these two surfaces dissolves naturally over time - a process that should never be hurried.
The foreskin can be retracted when its inside fold separates from the glans and its opening widens. This usually happens by age 18. Even if the glans and foreskin separate by themselves in infancy, the foreskin still may not be retractable then because the opening of a baby's foreskin may be just large enough to allow for the passage of urine.
From 'Leaving Neverland' (Why Little Boys Shouldn't Run Big Corporations)book launch. People were asked "When are you going to grow up?" It is time to Leave Neverland - amusing but also a bit scary. Rites of Passage hold the key to Leaving Neverland.
After we recorded last night, we just sat on the couch and chilled and almost instantly started feeling better. As soon as we stopped looking for the magic potion, or action, that was going to catapult us into The Vortex, it seemed that the good feelings came naturally. The important lesson we learned from this, which was reaffirmed by a passage I read in The Vortex today, is that it is important to line up energy before taking action, not the other way around. Attempting to do something to make yourself get in The Vortex can often be counter-productive. It is better to just relax and allow.
The other thing that we are learning is that every we don't have to be in this 'super-hyphy' state being all the time in order to feel like we are in The Vortex. I remember Abraham telling someone on the Alaskan cruise that its not about bouncing off the walls with excitement, though that is certainly pleasant. Lliving in The Vortex, or having that be one's dominant vibration, is more of a calm appreciation and ...
In the Havamal, there is a passage warning about harvesting a field too soon or trusting a son too early. And, isn't that something we see today? Wee see iussues of children not allowed to be children because of parents' focus on over-achievmanet as but one example. The lesson here is that the harvest is due when it is fulfilled. Many of us have faced a cop-out line that people use when talking about "God's time." And it seems strange that the same god who supposedly created the universe in six days (and then took the seventh off) couldn't work faster on our needs! Well, here we have a basic working definition of what is meant by "in God's time" (or the time of any other gods, goddesses, or other deities). Their time is the right time for it to be. That's all. But it's important for us to know to keep our perspective. And it also is a perspective that your Sunday school teacher never knew about. Blessed Be!

Beechey Island is located in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago of Nunavut, Canada.
It is recognized as a historic site with tremendous significance, as it marks the final resting place for three members from the ill-fated Franklin Expedition of 1845.
Franklin and 128 men from his expedition disappeared during their travels through an unnavigated section of the Northwest Passage. Despite the efforts of subsequent search expeditions, they were not rescued in time.

COCAINE ANGEL captures a grinding and tragic week in the life of a weary young drug addict who is clinging to the remnants of his once hopeful existence amidst the stink, the sweat, and unforgiving heat of Jacksonville, Florida. Directed by Michael Tulley and written by Damian Lahey COCAINE ANGEL has played in over ten film festivals. On the surface, COCAINE ANGEL might seem like another hopelessly bleak portrait of the dangers of drug addiction, yet it addresses a theme to which everyone can relate: the sad passage of time.

A window is an opening in an otherwise solid and opaque surface that allows the passage of light and, if not fixed, air. Windows are usually glazed or covered in some other transparent or translucent material.A window is an opening in a wall that lets light and possibly air into the room and allows occupants to see out. Primitive windows were just holes. Later, they were covered with animal hide, cloth, or wood. Shutters that could be opened and closed came next. Over time, windows were built that both protected the inhabitants from the elements and transmitted light: mullioned glass windows, which joined multiple small pieces of glass with leading, paper windows, flattened pieces of translucent animal horn, and plates of thinly sliced marble. Mullioned glass windows were the windows of choice among European well-to-do, whereas paper windows were economical and widely used in ancient China and Japan.

Knowledge is power. Education is the key to our future and the evolution of society. In this day and age, there are still places in the world where the ducation of girls is not encouraged or even offered. Within the lower classes of East India, illiterate girls are perceived as more useful as physical laborers than as educated contributors to society.
The Sulaxmi School for Girls in Lucknow, India was founded with the intention to change the course of the young and in many cases homeless girls' lives through basic education...one at a time.
Recognizing the need to support education for the girls, Lisa Kamen has dedicated her time, resources and energy to see the simple gift of education reach as many girls as possible.
