This weekend we look at the Boomers (Born between 1943-1964): The largest and most studied generation in U.S. History. They have a reputation for being rebellious, affluent, and independent. Most are now in their 40âs and 50âs. We parallel the Boomers with the example of Joshua leading a younger generation into the promised land through being open new things and rather than choosing sides, Joshua chooses to stand on God's side. 04.06.2008

Heidi Elnora is a dear friend of mine and the one-woman powerhouse behind Heidi Elnora Bridal Designs. She was a competing designer on Project Runway season 2. I loved what I saw in her work and her personality so much that I tracked her down as a personal stylist. We have since become great friends and share many parallel experiences while running our own companies and being green and resourceful in the process.
Fritz Lang is one of the greatest directors in history, and M is one of his finest films. M oozes film noir darkness and callousness, an unbearable vision of the bleak sickness of society. Metaphorically suggestive at every turn, M’s harrowing premise is that the pursuit of a child serial killer is getting in the way of ordinary criminal activity. Thus the criminals, who not coincidentally parallel the police, decide to ferret out the killer themselves. In doing so, they hold a courtroom trial of their own. The film’s cynical and powerful message would already be enough to make it a masterpiece, but Lang also showcases innovative cinematic techniques involving sound and storytelling that had never been done before, raising the films status to even loftier heights. Lang in general and M in particular would influence American film noir masters like Alfred Hitchcock and others for decades.
At long last, we present to you, the public release of Lit Fuse Films' latest creation. Maintenance Man. Here's a quick rundown. Taking place in parallel to the events of Half-Life 2: Episode 1, one man is tasked with repairing the combine citadel even as it collapses, hilarity ensues. Like all Lit Fuse productions, this film was a collaborative work between quite a few talented people. Weighing in at just over twenty minutes, I can testify that quite a bit of work went into this film. From the amazing soundtrack by our talented composer Lars Erik Fjosne, some awesome voice talent and soundscape editing by Robert Stoneman, stunning visual enhancements by Ben Hundley, this film goes down as a true, team effort..
16-year-old STEPHANIE DALEY (Amber Tamblyn) is hospitalized unexpectedly during a school fieldtrip while, in a nearby public restroom, a dead newborn is discovered. Faced with charges of murder, Stephanie claims she never knew she was pregnant and that the child was stillborn. Forensic psychologist Lydie Crane (Tilda Swinton) is hired to determine the truth behind Stephanie’s continuing state of denial. Her intuition intensifies with each session with Stephanie and she soon believes that unraveling the teenager’s mystery is somehow crucial to her own fate.
Featuring gripping performances by Tilda Swinton and Academy Award-winner Timothy Hutton, STEPHANIE DALEY is anchored by a brave powerhouse performance by Amber Tamblyn. This evocative film, winner of Best Screenplay at Sundance Film Festival, weaves two parallel journeys into a sublime masterpiece about the absolute nature of truth.
Episode 14 is the last episode so in joy.

Official music video for the song Walking Out On Love by Paul Collins' Beat. The studio version of this song appears on the Paul Collins' Beat CD "The Beat/The Kids Are The Same." Paul Collins began his career in a legendary band called The Nerves with Jack Lee and Peter Case in 1974. The Nerves are best known for their EP containing the song Hanging On The Telephone, later covered by Blondie on the chart topping "Parallel Lines" album. After The Nerves disbanded, Paul Collins formed The Beat in 1977. Although their music is very different, Paul Collins is sometimes confused with another musician, Phil Collins from Genesis.
