Captain Steve Henline is a man of many talents, the most renown of which is his dedication to the art and craft of fishing. Steve has been fishing ever since he was a young boy, building a career spanning 60 years. He is a Coast Guard captain, operates charter boats from Anchorage to Zihuatanejo, MX, a licensed guide and outfitter, and IGFA world and state record holder. He has written numerous blog posts, frequented fishing forums, and created an impressive catalogue of fishing videos during this time. Having spent the majority of his years in Utah Valley, I think it's safe to say that Steve knows the local Utah Lake fishing more than most others. This summer, Steve was contracted to create a series of fishing logs of his time on Utah Lake, detailing what fish were biting and the best spots to frequent. At the end of these logs, Steve reminds us to 'Take a Kid Fishing' - a message that speaks to us and tells us to share the joy we experience in our hobbies with the younger generations, in order to foster their interests and nurture their creative growth. This week we are highlighting these fishing logs, starting with his most recent: an enthralling tale of an attempt at a world record.

If you have never tried Ziplining you are definitely missing out on a great adventure. Some of the most famous zip lines are in Africa and South America. You may have heard about someoneâs trip to Costa Rica and they did a zip line through the trees? Well not all of us can get to Costa Rica anytime soon, but do not fear we have some pretty amazing zip lines in the US. Paragon Adventure tours took me to a great zip line in St. George, Utah. The scenery was outstanding and our guide Todd, owner of Paragon was a pretty funny guy keeping the mood light so no one would get to nervous as we walked to the first launch point. Fist time out was pretty scary for me, but once I made across without dying I thought a few more times would be a hoot. And it was!
This was a great daytrip and one Iâll definitely do again. You can get more info on this outfitter from the St.George Tourism Bureau www.utahstgeorge.com Distributed by Tubemogul.
