'Ta me away' is a solid popnummer - neither more nor less. And it works. The melody is catchy and the chorus is catchy and easy to sing along to. The single is fabulous produced and mixed. The simple melody is carried forth on a myriad of edifying vintage synth sounds and a rhythm that will create congestion in stroboskoplyset and disco ball. An extra dimension in the track is the fine contrast between the brash and sometimes edgy soundtrack and DIIA's beautiful and somewhat affectionate voice. It creates an interesting balance. Both the title and opening specify numbers heralds a certain gloom. With the line 'I run around in mist and tough luck' demonstrates that not everything is as it should be. 'Take me away' bear chorus and a couple of places down neatness on the shelf with a 'Give me hell for an answer'. And who has not been in that situation.
