Looping part was cut because it took like minute and a half :) so we decided to release the video without it :)
In which the individual members of the Thorns are given a chance to strut their stuff. First up, Martin gives us several layers of guitar wizardry with the help of a loopstation.
In which we get down a loopstation user all the way from Nottingham with a mix of cheeky and heartfelt tunes. I don't envy his trip back in this weather.
The Fleece regularly does 8 hour, 10 band shows on Sundays. This week, they decide to try something even more ambitious and do 20 acoustic acts in 10 hours. I'm definitely interested in seeing if they can pull that off. First up, we have some loopstation fun, which shows it still won't be entirely acoustic guitar singer songwriter stuff, thank god.
In which the performance is enhanced by, but not entirely dependent on the loopstation and other gadgetry. There are considerable benefits to being versatile.
I'm always fascinated by loopstation wielders, because unlike guitar bands, they haven't become locked into a predictable form by familiarity and common influences. Plus they naturally tend towards the hypnotic, and this is no exception.
Fresh from winning the Boss National Loopstation championships, Suzy assembles a crack team of loopers to dazzle our ears! Well, that was the plan anyway. Life doesn't stop throwing curveballs, no matter how many times you win, you've always got to take on the next challenge, until you get knocked out of the game altogether.
A loopstation & viola playing artist who writes songs about dinosaurs and has spent quite a bit of time in finland? Excuse me while I have multiple geekgasms. I am so the target audience for this that I almost feel pandered too.
