Long Term Evolution (LTE) is the latest technology in wireless communications. LTE is 4G communications technology focused on very high speed data transfer rates. With its popularity increasing day by day and more operators rolling out new LTE Networks, it has become imperative for professionals in telecom industry to be aware about the technical aspects of LTE technology.

The world cannot live without internet anymore! The known 3G networks are now being superseded by so-called Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks, which offer download and upload speeds many times greater than those achievable via decade-old 3G technology. Over the past few years, a handful of experts at Ericsson have contributed a total of 234 patents to the development of LTE, including innovations relating to mobile network base station design, radio resource management, and control signalling. Their work has been essential to the implementation of LTE technology and is powering the rise of the mobile Internet economy.
