Today on Skuff we are jumping on the hype of the new movie about to drop in Sydney on the 13th of Feb 2013 called Thundercloud.
Direct from the lads at One Palm Media it?s based around one of the best days at Cloudbreak in surfing history when a massive swell arrived in June 2012.
It?s full interviews and accounts from the crew that surfed it, plenty of footage of the big day and some other big swells that have hit it in the last few years.
Stocks open higher on the final day of the quarter. Initial jobless claims dropped less than expected last week. AMR reportedly is in talks to replace 250 jets. Samsung expands its countersuits against Apple. EBay is upgraded after debit-card ruling.
In our 17th episode we take a look at Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros during their Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance last week, but find ourselves drawn back to their network television debut from September 4th, 2009. Is it just us, or has the Johnny and June chemistry between singers Alex Ebert and Jade Castrinos cooled somewhat since their Letterman performance over a year ago?
Conan O'Brien joins Jack White on stage for a rip snorting version of Eddie Cochran's "Twenty Flight Rock" on the inaugural episode of Conan on November 8th, 2010.
Two trade-friendly Queen DVDs came our way this past week, both recorded at London's majestic Hammersmith Odeon in the 1970s. The first is derived from a recent BBC rebroadcast of an Old Grey Whistle Test show in 1975, while the second is a reconstruction of Queen's epic boxing day concert from 1979, which was rolled into the Rock for Kampuchea cause.
As if Queen fans didn't have enough to be excited about already, the news that Sacha Baron Cohen will be playing ...
My wife took this video while on a visit back to her Nong Soong village home in 2007. Granted, the video is often jerky and even sometimes neglected, for it is apparent that there were occasions when she forgot that the camera was running. But I have kept editing at a very minimum. I think the value in the footage lies in the fact that she was able to capture the locals being themselves -- no one is suddenly on best behaviour as would be the case had I been in their midst operating the camera. Also, Jack (Supranee) is able to freely converse with the various subjects of her filming, further capturing their naturalness. Consequently, the film is not really a compilation of scenes of the parade, but more a gathering of background elements of some of the audience, as well as some of the participants involved within the parade. I understand that this may have been the last Rocket Festival to be celebrated in Nong Soong due to the potential hazard for flights at the Udon Thani Airport.
I have learned since uploading this video that my wife's sons were responsible for the dizzying parade sequences. So I sincerely apologize for those.

June 30 2009 Lake County Illinois,Wind NW 9mph. 60 degrees 1st buck 7:05am & bachelor group 7:40pm Hunting Big Illinois Whitetails in velvet with a video camera. With a 30% chance of rain and the temperature dropping a bit I thought it would be a great day to pursue big whitetail bucks. In the morning I still hunted for most of the time and was able to stalk up on two big bucks. I was able to get a quick sequence of a nice buck I never seen before. He looks like he has good mass and some non typical points. I tried to move in closer, using some brush to shield me but he vanished when I arrived where I last seen him. I was able to stalk within good video distance of a Big 10 point buck and a couple young bucks bedded near a island of the Oaks. The 10 pointer looks like he is going to be BIG! ...... Good Morning everyone,
Flat open today so far. This will be a telling day in many ways. We will have to see where our next swing low gets put in as we are now at the last hold of the high base (imo). Not too bad to have taken such a chunk out of the overhead resistance in this area during the last few weeks.
Trade well : )
Talk to you soon,

During last summer's Ocean City Airshow, Aero-TV got the chance to sit down with the best and brightest of the personnel and performers that made this first-time show a truly outstanding event.
It was Ocean City, MD’s first ever airshow and was initiated to kick off the town’s 2008 summer season on June 10-11, 2008, adding a new signature attraction to Ocean City’s roster of annual events. Military aircraft demonstrations, low altitude flyovers and civilian aerobatic performances took place over the Ocean City beachfront from noon to 4 pm each day. The airshow was visible along the majority of the Boardwalk creating an inspiring experience for visitors while they enjoyed the hospitality of Ocean City’s beach and attractions.
One of the standouts among an impressive roster of expert performances was a stirring routine performed by Veteran Pilot (in more ways than one), Ed Hamill, flying on behalf of the USAFR. While a ...
