On September 19, 1973, the musician and heir to a million-dollar fortune died under the influence of drugs and alcohol near his favourite place - the Joshua Tree National Monument in the Californian desert. As the founder of the Flying Burrito Brothers, a member of the hit-making, legendary Byrds, an important influence on the Rolling Stones and the man who catapulted Emmylou Harris to fame, Gram Parsons made music history in only a few years. The film was made on location by director and musician Gandulf Hennig and American music journalist, musician and biographer Sid Griffin. Friends, contemporaries and devotees of Gram Parsons talk about the importance of his work and the bizarre circumstances of his early death. Rare footage of his performances shows why Gram Parsons has become a legend. Interviewees include Gram's wife Gretchen, his sister and his daughter, Keith Richards, Emmylou Harris, Chris Hillman and "Road Manager" Phil Kaufman.

The producer had difficulty finding interviewees for the Crystal Meth Public Service Announcement, which aired in May 2007, so I had said a few weeks earlier that if he was truly desperate, that I could be an interviewee, since people who had never used Crystal Meth were being interviewed. That day, I was helping out with the filming as a Production Assistant and had forgotten about my previous offer. When the producer turned to me and told me it was my turn, I think he saw the look of terror on my face, but I am a man of my word, so I do appear on camera; although, I kept kicking myself for doing exactly what I knew not to do. Since it was my first on-camera interview, I was nervous and kept looking into the camera and not repeating the question back in the form of an answer. Nothing that can't be corrected during the editing process, but I've since improved.
This is my video that I made for the NIU dorms contest. It talks all about why I am going to move into the NIU dorms and why other people should to. It includes great experiences that you'll pick up by living at the dorms and why NIU dorms is the best atmosphere for your college career.
It highlights three main reasons why anyone looking to attend NIU should stay at the dorms and those reasons are as follows:
1. Friends
2. Food
3. The Best Place for a Good Start (to your college career)\
In the video, I interviewed a few residences and someone interviewed me as well and we all talked about our experiences in and out of the NIU dorms. Since I don't live in the dorms yet, I added a new perspective to going to college but not experiencing the same thing as students who are living on campus do. Each person expresses the fun and joy they've had living at the NIU dorms.
I, Suzanne Vanderwiel, made the video myself. My friends helped and it made the video editing and producing much easier, but only I am entering the contest.

So, why don’t you tell me about yourself?” is the most frequently asked interview question. It’s a question that most interviewees expect and the one they have the most difficulty answering. Though one could answer this open-ended question in a myriad of ways, the key to answering this question or any other interview question is to offer a response that supports your career objective. This means that you shouldn’t respond with comments about your hobbies, spouse, or extra curricular activities. Trust me, interviewers aren’t interested.

Every now and then I meet someone who is both hilarious and perverse. I got a double helping of both charm and nonsense when I interviewed a guy & his wife whose latest adventure was pitching mops at Brooklyn's Gay Pride Fair. I love it when interviewees turn the tables on me. Hubby warmed me up. Then it looked as if his wife was ready to sell him to me :-). I can see why this pair have filmmakers documenting their lives and lonely people from all over NYC following them around just to be entertained.
