Animtim creates a full body character sketch, with inking layer blend modes, color and use of painting modes to add final shading. A great example of creating comic style illustrations step by step in Krita.

Bugsbane runs Krita through it's paces with a simple cartoon illustration which leads to a number of suggestions and a couple of (now fixed) bugs being discovered. Workflow follows using the particle brush for form inspiration, to rough sketch, inking and some rough colour.

My new inking video for 2010! I set up my Nikon Cool Pix L18 on it's tripod and placed it next to my desk to shoot this. That little camera is amazingly good for videos! Edited in Windows Media Maker, and tripled the speed to fit around 3-ish minutes. Original video was about 30 minutes ( hey, I was watching / listening to the movie "Ever After" while inking! I need my background noise! ). Background music is "La Bomba", by Cima. The piece I'm inking in this is part of a big 6 piece commission order for Harogirl over on DeviantART. Materials used: ~Speedball Super Black India Ink ( for my brush ) ~Higgins Black Magic ( for my pen ) ~Raphael Kolinsky number 2 round sable hair brush ~Hiro Leonardi nib #41 ( only for my signature ) ~my favorite wooden nib holder ~white cardstock ~~Debra "Bee" Rohlfs

The next attempt at a strong second national MMA promotion finally took shape as Strikeforce founder and CEO Scott Coker has signed a deal to buy several fighter contracts from EliteXC in addition to inking deals with CBS and Showtime that may see the promotion on TV as soon as April.
