No one knew his name, no one knew where he came from. Sometimes you just thought you heard a soft hum, as if the wind itself was carrying a melody. That evening he was wandering around among the shelves of a small, almost empty supermarket. The few people who were still shopping did not notice him. But he heard them – every whisper, every thought, every laugh. From these voices he formed his stories. A young woman was mindlessly humming a song while selecting apples. An elderly man quietly muttered the names of his grandchildren. Two teenagers were arguing half-heartedly about which snack was the best. For the world, they were just everyday sounds.
