Sul podio dell'Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino è impegnato Zubin Mehta. http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - The Mach 1 handling and appearance package made for some good looking and comfortable Mustangs back in 1969, but the heat turned up when you ordered a 428 Cobra Jet with the 3.91 or 4.30:1 rear gear. The rear gear kicked off a handful of upgrades to form the Super Cobra Jet, a car that was intended to be a drag strip terror right off the showroom floor. This '69 Mach 1 428 SCJ 4-speed car is a beautiful Acapulco Blue version from the Brothers Collection.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - This is one of the more unusual cars in the Brothers Collection, a Lime Gold 1967 Ford LTD XL featuring a factory installed 425 HP R-Code 427 and 4-speed manual transmission. There were only a handful of these cars ordered in this configuration, and we share the details in this video shot at the 2014 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago.
http://www.mcacn.com - If there were a "Long Distance" award for the 2014 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, it would have to go to John Clements and his 2013 Ford FG FPV 335 Falcon GT. John had his GT shipped all the way from Australia to enjoy some time cruising the US, and shared it with the gearheads at the MCACN show in Chicago.

The 1970 Ford Mustang BOSS 302 is one of our favorite cars in the Brothers Collection, as it has a design purpose that traces back to Trans Am racing. This Medium Blue Metallic version features the 290 HP 302 Windsor V8 topped with Cleveland style large-valve heads, a Toploader 4-speed, performance suspension, a Shaker hood, and all the visual elements that make a BOSS so cool.

One does not normally consider the 1957 Ford Ranchero to be a Muscle Car, but when you hear the story of this factory built supercharged 312 V8 powered 1 of 2 produced version, the name seems fitting! This Flame Red super truck is another example of the diversity of the Brothers Collection, and it stems from a year when Ford gave it's all to beat Chevy in sales and speed on the NASCAR track.

There were many ways to order Muscle Cars, but this week's Muscle Car Of The Week from the Brothers Collection is a 1970 Ford Torino that makes any drive a fun time! This black convertible is hiding a 375 HP 429 Super Cobra Jet V8 under the hood, along with a 4-speed and the Drag Pack 4.30:1 rear gear for blistering speed. Plus, the drop-top makes it fun to drive even when you're not burning the tires through the gears!

There are restored cars, and then there are cars that are restored with nothing but original, date coded, non-reproduction parts. This week, we're featuring an amazing 1965 Shelby G.T. 350 from the Brothers Collection, an awesome example of the early Shelby G.T., and it's wearing a Gold Level Thoroughbred restoration with a Certificate of Authenticity. That means it consists of all original Ford & Shelby parts, and it's like a brand-new car.

This episode features another super-rare car from the Brothers Collection, a 1966 Ford 7-Liter 427 4-speed convertible! The 7-Liter came with a 428 V8 under the hood, but just 2 people opted for the high-performance R-Code dual-quad 427 to power their 7-Liter convertibles, and this is one!
This week's Muscle Car Of The Week from the Brothers Collection is a very unique 1969 Mustang convertible. At first glance, this car does not appear to be anything special, aside from being a clean blue drop-top. But the hood scoop tips you off... this one is a 428 Cobra Jet in sheep's clothing!
This 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible comes from an era where big cars ruled the NASCAR Speedways and the space race was in full swing. This particular car excites Muscle Car fans thanks to what lurks under the hood... a 425 HP, dual-quad carbed R-Code 427 V8 coupled to a 4-speed transmission! Ford didn't make very many Galaxie 500 R-Code convertibles, but the Brothers Collection was able to find this one and share it with Muscle Car Of The Week!
http://www.facebook.com/musclecaroftheweek - Back in 1969, Ford was ready to roll out a new engine to compete in NASCAR - the BOSS 429. This was a semi-hemispherical headed V8 designed to compete with Dodge's 426 Hemi that was leading the pack on the NASCAR super speedways. NASCAR rules say that you need to sell at least 500 copies of a "street" version of any engine you planned to race, so Ford needed to build a civilian BOSS 429 for the general public. The interesting part is that Ford interpreted the rule book and noticed that the engine didn't have to be in the same car raced... so they could stuff a BOSS 429 into a Mustang rather than the Torinos being used in NASCAR. The result was a super-bad Mustang with a custom-installed 375 HP NASCAR engine under the hood. From the Brothers Collection.
You could say that this 1965 Shelby G.T. 350 R has lived several different lives. It started off as a Wimbledon White '65 Mustang Fastback, then went off to Shelby American to be turned into a '65 Shelby G.T. 350. However, it did not go to a dealer for street sale, as it was selected to be used by Ford as a promotional vehicle. That tour of duty ended in August of '65, when the car went back to Shelby American for its next chapter for use as one of the 3 Shelby G.T. 350 Driving School cars. While there, the car slowly received modifications that basically transformed it into an R model Competition car. In fact, it was actually re-identified by Shelby as the 37th G.T. 350R Competition car while at Shelby American. The car was also used as the prototype for the G.T. 500 427 big block cars for 1967. The driveline was returned to a 289, and it was eventually sold as a G.T. 350 R and raced in SCCA events in California. The engine was blown, the car was stored, and the discovered in the late 1980s and restored to the form you see here today. It remains one of the most interesting stories of all the cars in the Brothers Collection, and one of our favorites here at Muscle Car Of The Week!

The world was a different place back in 1961, and the space-age styling of the 1961 Ford Starliner tells the tale. This car technically pre-dates the Muscle Car era, but the available 401 HP 390 made it a screamer on the street and stock car tracks. This week's car has been up-fitted with a 427 cube V8 topped with 3 2-barrel carbs, a setup you could get in 1963, but it looks right at home in the bay of this Starliner. There are many neat styling features on this car, including the thin-pillared sloping rear glass with zinc plated and polished stars, the subtitle tail fins, and the twin "rocket exhaust" tail lights. It's one car from the Brothers Collection that is out of this world!

The Shelby G.T. 350H is a very special Shelby as, it was used as a rental race car available through Hertz rental car stores in '66. Featuring the 306 HP 289, it was just as capable as the "regular" G.T. 350 available at Ford dealers. There were 1000 ordered by Hertz, but this is one of 2 that were refused by Hertz and was never used as a rental. Truly a rare and significant example from the Brothers Collection!
What happens when you mix a lightweight body with a high-powered 427? Ford set out to find out with this 1966 Fairlane, and the results were awesome. This Fairlane does not look like anything special, being completely devoid of racy looking stripes or fancy trim, but the giveaway is the scooped lift-off hood and the discreet 427 badges on the fenders. This car is boasting lightweight aluminum and fiberglass panels from front to back, and has been assembled without creature comforts inside. However, it was fitted with the R-Code dual 4-barrel side-oiler 427, a 425 HP race engine for the street. The R-Code rumbles thanks to the high compression pistons and lumpy cam, and the 4-speed manual box and 3.89 gears help it get out of the hole. Which is what this car was designed to do, in the form of Super Stock drag racing. Ford only built 57 of these in 1966, and this one lives among many other unique and low-production factory racers in the Brothers Collection.

This beautiful 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 looks great thanks to its pristine restoration and soothing Gulfstream Aqua color, and the S-Code 390 / 4-speed Toploader combo makes it a blast to drive. However, one of the most unique features of this Mach 1 is the factory installed steel sunroof... an option that was not offered on the '69 Mustang. It is one of 2 built with the opening roof, and it's another excellent example of the diversity of outstanding Muscle Cars in the Brothers Collection. Watch the video to learn more about this stunning Mustang!

The Muscle Car Of The Week is this stunning 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 XL that becomes more interesting the more you look. You will first notice the subdued color called Coventry Gray, and it was never offered on the Ford Galaxie for 1966. It is a specially ordered Mercury color, making this the only one ever built! And while they made many Galaxie 500 XL models, there were less than 50 that came with the R-Code 427 V8 under the hood. Boasting 425 hp, the R-Code 427 breathed through dual four barrel carburetors and churned a four speed manual transmission. This might not look like a race car, but it seemed to be built for the drag strip. We love the juxtaposition of luxury and power, making this a wolf in banker's clothing!
The Muscle Car Of The Week is for Mustang fans, as we bring you a great story on a sweet '67 K-Code convertible from the Brothers Collection! This 1967 K-Code Mustang convertible is one of just 50 made, and only 1 of 16 convertible automatics. The K-Code featured a 289 High Performance V8 making 271 horsepower and 340 ft. lbs. of torque, which made these Mustangs great performers. This Lime Gold example is also documented by the Marti Report to be the last one built on the San Jose Ford assembly line, which is the same line that built the Mustangs which became Shelby GT350s. Watch the video for more details on the K-Code package and this particular example!
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - This week's video features a car that looks sedate as can be but reveals a startlingly different personality once the key is turned. The factory-built 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Lightweight features an R-Code 427 for power, and nearly all the non-essential items have been deleted or lightened for better drag strip performance in the Super Stock NHRA class. There were around 200 built, and this one is as true to form as they come. One of the many factory lightweight Muscle Cars in the Brothers Collection.
This week, we are spotlighting a car that does not appear to be very special at first glance. After all, Ford made over 420,000 1965 Galaxies, most of which were plain Jane four-door sedans. However, this one is special. The similarity between "humdrum" and "hang on" occurs the moment you open the hood to find a 427 cube R-Code dual quad V-8 cranking out over 425 hp through a factory four-speed transmission. This is an R-Code 427 four-speed car from the factory, the only one known in the Galaxie registry. This car proves that the Brothers Collection has more than a few tricks up their sleeves!
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - Not all Muscle Cars were 2-door sedans, as evidenced by this week's offering, a 1969 Ford Ranchero GT with a 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air V8 under the hood! This one is wearing a Brittany Blue exterior with a blue interior, white GT stripes, and chrome wheels. But the most important part is the 335 HP 428 Cobra Jet engine, capable of 440 ft. lbs. of torque, which helped move this Muscle Car… and whatever it was hauling… with ease! From the Brothers Collection.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - The Ford Torino has always been an aggressively styled Muscle Car, but for 1970, it received a whole new look! This 1970 Torino Cobra is powered by the 429 Super Cobra Jet V8 engine making 375 HP and enough torque to fry the tires at will. It is finished in Vermillion, which provides a stark contrast against the satin black hood, shaker scoop, and tail panel accents to let everyone know this Cobra is not messing around. From the Brothers Collection.
http://www.mcacn.com - One of the coolest displays at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the "Barn Finds & Hidden Gems" display, which showcases cars and trucks as they were discovered in their present and unrestored states. In this video, we take a look at a 1969 Ford Mustang BOSS 429 that was reported to be raced many years ago, and was displayed along with its new engine and vintage 1967 Ford cab-over race car hauler.
This week, we move off the mark from the typical Muscle Car into the world of mid 1960's luxury sedans, only to find that this 1 of 3 ever built 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 LTD is sporting an 427 for power! The high-compression, dual-quad side-oiler V8 is coupled to a 4-speed transmission and a 4.11:1 rear gear, making this car one of the most comfortable drag racers ever built! This luxo-liner LTD is one of the many unique rides in the Brothers Collection.
http://www.ididitinc.com - Ididit, Inc. brought out some new steering column applications at the 2014 SEMA show in Las Vegas, including highly-anticipated retrofit tilt columns for Ford Falcons and Broncos. Here, we learn about these new parts as well as some insight on how to properly measure for a custom column for any application.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - This week, we're showcasing a Bright Gold Metallic 1970 Ford Mustang BOSS 302. This is one of the high-revving "hybrid" engine cars which resulted from the homologation rules of Trans Am racing, which dictated the automakers needed to make a street version of the cars raced in Trans Am. This meant the 302 cube V8 that was built from a Windsor block and topped with Cleveland heads needed to be readily available to the public. Add to that the low-slung suspension, high-impact graphics, and other performance touches and you have a hot performer that was great fun to drive. From the Brothers Collection.
http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - This 1967 Shelby Cobra is an all-original car, but if it looks a little less aggressive than the side-piped, roll-barred, hood-scooped 427 Cobras you are used to seeing, it's because this is a Street Car version. These were a little less racy than the 427 Competition or Semi Competition cars, but still a legendary performer on the street or track. Sometimes called the "Gentleman's Cobra", the street cars often were powered by the Ford 428 big block V8 over the high-strung 427 side-oiler. Watch the episode to learn the story on this highly-original Shelby!

Http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - Ford built muscular versions of nearly every car they made during the 1960s, and this 1964 Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe is a great example of how they turned a hum-drum family commuter into a stylish mini-muscle car that packed a serious punch. This Sports Coupe escaped the fate of a straight 6 in favor of a Hi-Po 289 V8 screwed to a 4-speed manual box. The K-Code version churned out 271 HP through increased compression, free-breathing intake and exhaust, a solid cam, and other hop-up goodies. The added bonus is the good looks of the Sports Coupe, wearing a slick Raven Black suit with a bright red interior. Extra-cool is the fact that it is all original and unrestored. It's our Muscle Car Of The Week from the Brother's Collection.
