A vitamin is an organic compound required as a nutrient in tiny amounts by an organism.1 A compound is called a vitamin when it cannot be synthesized in sufficient quantities by an organism, and must be obtained from the diet. Thus, the term is conditional both on the circumstances and the particular organism. For example, ascorbic acid functions as vitamin C for some animals but not others, and vitamins D and K are required in the human diet only in certain circumstances
in this episode Mark and Pierre-Benoit look at 'si clauses', in particular those which use the imperfect combined with the conditional. Teachers using these episodes with their classes should watch this episode in full before using it with their class.
Excel 2003 used to offer an obscure conditional formatting option called Formula Is. It is still obscure in Excel 2007. Episode 933 will show you the ROW, MOD functions and a dynamic solution to formatting every other row.

[NOTE: This video is only the first 18 minutes of the full lesson] Lesson consists of providing you with a Self-Tutorial on how to solve linear equations. I discuss what is an Equation, Solution, Solution Set, Equivalent Equations, Identity, Contradictions, Conditional Equations, Linear Equations, the Standard Form of a Linear Equation. I show you how to actually SOLVE linear equations going step-by-step. I don't skip steps. I review some of the properties of Equality here too. I remind you to check the work done and how to solve linear equations using a calculator. At the end, you will know how to easily solve equations that look like:
2[y - (4y - 1)] = 5 - 9y
No word problems are done here. This is shown in DETAIL in Part 2 of the Lesson.
