The duo Eley Kishimoto has treated winter 08/09 lightly. The models appear from a blue velvet curtain in straight skirts and bare arms. The jackets and coats mostly have three quarter length sleeves. The designers present us with a fantasy world where rabbits and horses gallivant on dresses and women dare to wear bow ties and white gloves like Mickey Mouse. Prints of feathers and stripes are at the heart of this Pop Art collection. This English-Japanese marriage has produced many hybrid styles; the large Claudine collared coat is a known mix of English style and Japanese “kawai” style, inspired by manga.

The autumn winter 2008 Jens Laugesen woman fulfils many different styles. She plays the elegance card in pleated suits, high waisted trousers and Chinese collared jackets with over-exaggerated shoulders or a rock’n’roll edge in a frilled skirt and bolero leather jacket. A two coloured collection where Prussian blue and sky blue fabrics sit next to black. For this season, the designer dresses women in a new luxurious silk and makes the shoulders shine with Swarovski.

Sail Away sees Round Trip's maiden voyage into pop videodom aboard its trusty vessel, HMS Blue Screen. The whole thing took just 24 hours to complete, from first frame filmed to final rendering. Endearingly organic, the band even ushered an innocent tea-boy into the filming. Everyone turned up for the filming in vanilla-coloured elephant collared jackets, as arranged. We work fast, and two of our jackets melted during the filming. Tim melted too, but was revived and refluffed with local spring water. Caked in sea salt, Round Trip's nostrils flare uproariously at the thought of water. We love the liquid. Cutting and editing by our image weaving svengali, Tim (still) E. Ralph Lauren celebrated 40 years in fashion in 2007 and over the years his style has always remained unchangeable and unique. The show opens with sensible-looking grey flannel outfits and feather hats before leopard print emerges either head-to-toe as a tunic dress or as details on jacket shoulders. Bright orange and purple are two strong colours for next winter, appearing here as a cashmere coat and a full-collared jacket. The country influence is never far away with an inimitable expertise in tartan materials. The lumberjack shirt is worn with a conventional looking pencil skirt while an ethnic patterned overcoat engulfs a slender silhouette and for the evening asymmetrical chiffon and velvet wraparound dresses embroidered with gold thread and feathers look sensational.

The on the one hand reserved Miuccia Prada had her men parade round a spiral platform dressed in double collared shirts like dog collars, shirtfronts with abstract-looking straps on the back and G-strings protruding above trousers. Tiny enticing skirts serve as belts… the more austere-looking double-breasted suits fasten with asymmetrical concealed buttons. To finish, the patent shoes or a geometrical cut add a touch of originality to this wardrobe, full of convenience.

Despite 1K Watt lights, no ventilation, and one of the hottest days in SoCal in August, Dave was sporting a sweater vest, collared shirt, and tie. And he never broke a bead of sweat. Matt did a wonderful job looking emo and confused. The scene was shot at Lestat's West in San Diego.
