Peshawar, January 20, 2015: While the State of Pakistan's continues to connive with militants to disturb the peace in other countries, it is the common man who continues to suffer a great deal. One month after the gruesome attack on the army public school in Peshawar, the school reopened, the candle light vigils were held and a tough message was sent to militants and its backers within the State of Pakistan. Activists, campaigners and members of the civil society gathered in several cities across Pakistan on Friday (January 16) to mark one month since the deadly attack by Taliban gunmen on the Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar in which over 140 people, including 134 children, were systematically gunned down. In Islamabad, several parliamentarians came out to join a vigil outside Parliament House. In Lahore, around two hundred citizens lit candles in memory of those killed in the school attack.
To illustrate ephemeralness, the video goes through some of the important events that occurred in the history of the Universe.
Ephemeral: a small piano sonata composed by Ziryeb (www.ziryeb.com), to the memory of Naima Tama, a family friend, who died in her late thirties by a sudden heart attack. The piece was played on the piano and recorded as it is while being composed on the fly.
When the piece was played (and composed at the same time), the thought that was inspiring the piece was thinking about the ephemeral nature of things. Everything in the Universe changes, dies, etc... Nothing stays the same ever. Sometimes, it is a frightening thought that ephemeralness is controlling the whole Universe, not just us. Even if we can live for eternity, the Universe does not seem to have a bright and eternal future. The Universe is expanding at an accelerating rate. Either this acceleration will continue forever (in which case a big rip will destroy everything in the Universe), or the Universe starts shrinking back towards a big crunch. If the Universe stops expanding and remains still, that would be an ideal situation, except that the Universe will eventually run out of matter (the stars will run out of their Hydrogen fuel, and all Hydrogen in the Universe may eventually run out as well, and there is no future in that). The only guarantee of an eternal Universe (like an eternal paradise for example, as described in the monotheist religions), would be the intervention of God, the creator of everything. Only God can stop the expansion of the Universe from destroying everything, and make sure matter does not run out in the Universe if we want the Universe to be eternal.
This is a new short film covering the first 17 minutes of the morning of September 11th 2001 and the attack on the WTC Twin Towers. The film lists the names of all the people lost on American Airlines Flight 11 & United Airlines Flight 175 as well as some old and some very rare footage of that faithful day, spliced together a timeline video of the events, which includes the 1st radio broadcast included in the timeline. Amazing Grace is sung in Cherokee. Im sure we can all agree, the ones we honour that day are now all true native americans! FYI @4.37 is 2 second of recronstruction. The rest is History.
Michael Jackson dies I found out by a text message from friend that read Michael Jackson dies no I know usually he likes to play pranks, I was hoping he was playing with that message michael jackson dies
here's the link to the first report of Michael Jackson dies:
www.tmz.com/.../michael-jackson-dies-death-dead-cardiac-arrest/
I love michael jackson, I grew up on michael jackson and he dies?
wow, lets keep him in our memory
TMZ was reporting that Michael Jackson dies but CNN who I consider more credible was reporting that he did have a heart attack. I went back to TMZ and they still reported Michael Jackson dies.
I finally went back to CNN live feed and they ended up saying with shocking tones that micheal is dead.
That killed me right there, I wanted it to be a prank or at least him in the hospital.
So there it is, Micheal Jackson has passed away at 50 years old
The Ninja250R is back @ Buttonwillow Raceway! This time making a full, no hold bars, attack on all bikes. Inside, outside, they're all getting poached!!!
Unfortunately, this was the 1st session and the track was cold so I didn't quite push the bike. Also, there were A LOT of 600cc riders just parking their bikes before the turns. Ahhh!!!!
Anyhow, sorry for the crappy vid. My memory card was loose and I'm still surprised it captured the vid.
Next year, I'll post a better one.
