The plot revolves around a young girl Sahiba who witnesses the brutal murder of a young woman inside her college campus. The perpetrators follow her as she tries to flee home. Kishan is a young salesman who has many dreams about his life and his life partner, but is very scared of his dominant father. Kishan's father and Chandu's father are close friends. Seeing his friend's struggle to marry off his daughter, Kishan's father arranges marriage for Kishan and Chandu without Kishan's consent. Rajiv (Rishi Kapoor) comes from a wealthy land-owning family, and lives in a palatial home with his mother (Sushma Seth), who would like him to get married to a beautiful young woman named Vijaya Singh, the only daughter of Thakur Ajay Singh (Prem Chopra). Rajiv, however, is in love with Rajni (Sridevi), who is an orphan without connections. When Rajiv informs his mother of his intent to marry Rajni, she refuses to give her blessings, but relents after a favourable meeting with Rajni. The marriage is arranged and they enjoy their marriage - until the arrival of Bhairo Nath (Amrish Puri), a sadhu capable of controlling snakes. He informs Rajiv's mother that Rajni is a shape-shifting venomous snake who has married Rajiv to avenge the death of her spouse during Rajiv's childhood. To remove her from the household, Bhairo and his disciples do a snake dance song, forcing Rajni to dance for them as she is a snake. However, when Rajiv comes into the house, Rajni escapes, only to be caught by Bhairo, who reveals his plot, to control the world with the Mani, a sacred jewel that only Rajni knows is hidden. However, Rajiv comes and engages in a fight with Bhairo. Bhairo is bitten by two snakes and dies. Rajiv and Rajni live happily ever after. Sahiba is an intelligent, shy, and sensitive girl attending college a long way from home. She belongs to a typical Rajput family in which tradition requires that a girl give her consent to marry the man chosen by her family. Being a girl of contemporary times, Sahiba refuses to submit to age-old traditions. To avoid an arranged marriage, she lies that she is already married, which angers her father Yogi Grewal. The fake husband is an army captain, Karan. The two meet after Karan saves Sahiba from a group of men who are trying to kill her; Sahiba explains that she witnessed a murder, and the murderer sent his men after her. Karan decides to escort her safely home. Once home, the family mistakes Karan for Sahiba's presumed husband, and Karan and Sahiba try but fail to tell the truth. Sahiba's family take a great liking to Karan. Sahiba's father, however, does not. At first, Karan is anxious to leave and go meet his friend Nisha, who he has fallen in love with but has not seen for a year. However, being an orphan, Karan soon gets carried away by the love and affection Sahiba's family showers him with. Meanwhile, Sahiba falls in love with Karan. Dr. Amrish Patel has built his medical practice around helping patients regain normal, healthy physical function. As a physiatrist at the Sports and Spine Institute, Dr. Patel focuses on providing non-surgical physical medicine and rehabilitation to patients in the Atlanta area who have gone through an injury or who suffer from a disease, disorder or condition that has a negative impact on their overall quality of life. A Georgia native, Dr. Patel began his education at the University of Georgia in Athens before heading to Georgia State University to complete a bachelor of science in physical therapy. After working for several years as a physical therapist, he earned his doctor of medicine at St. George’s University. He moved to the Northeast to complete his residency, becoming administrative chief resident at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation and receiving a fellowship from the University of Pittsburgh. Then he returned home to Georgia, where his practice at Sports and Spine helps patients get back on their feet and return to living their lives to the fullest.
