Listen to this latest episode of “The DooDoo Diva's Smells Like Money Podcast” Season 3 Episode #10. Richard Blank talks about how call centers are essential in building businesses and how this can be applied in the Wastewater Infrastructure Industry. He starts by stating that the first thing to alleviate getting unlikely experiences for a small company as well as a medium size company is that the company should do more voice support instead of non-voice support, because if you're just pressing buttons or filling out a form, it can raise temperature levels and frustration. Richard also states that it's very easy to retain a client, to get a referral and maybe even upsell.

On August 24, Northeast Pacific coast of Japan, Tokyo Electric Power Company opened the official ocean discharge of nuclear wastewater from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Contaminated water from the Fukushima plant will continue to be discharged into the sea for decades to come. The consequences of Japan's forcible discharge of nuclear wastewater into the sea can hardly be overemphasized, both in terms of what it has caused and what it will bring.
The purpose of an effluent treatment plant, also known as an ETP, is to remove harmful contaminants from industrial wastewater so that it can be reused while also releasing clean water into the environment.
Depending on the industry like Pharmaceutical, Mining, Textile, industrial effluents comprise a range of different substances. Some effluents contain hazardous substances while others contain oils and grease (e.g., cyanide). Degradable organic contaminants are present in factory effluents from the food and beverage industry. Industrial wastewater comprises a variety of pollutants, necessitating the use of a specific treatment method termed ETP. Various types of Effluent Treatment Plants for different industries are available and known as Pharmaceutical Effluent Treatment Plant, Mining Effluent Treatment Plant, Textile Effluent Treatment Plant etc. https://watermanaustralia.com/product/zero-liquid-discharge-system-zld-system/

What happens when you flush the toilet? For most of us, whatâs out of sight is out of mind. But large numbers of sewage spills into San Francisco Bay are forcing cities, water agencies and the public to take a closer look at wastewater and its effects.
"We're looking certainly at financial rewards, but we believe very strongly that there are other rewards that come in investing, and those come in terms of progress made for people and for the planet," says Chris Coyne about the dual missions of Coyne Brothers LLC, an investment firm that focuses on doing good as well as on doing due diligence.
"We can do a lot with money -- a lot that's beneficial to the economy but also that's beneficial to human progress," Coyne tells Behind the Money in our video interview. "Most of the projects that we embrace are clean; they're green; and they're high tech. They promote jobs. They promote abundance models, but they also promote conditions that are beneficial to human progress."
Some startups recently backed by Coyne Brothers include: Ostara Nutrient Recovery Technologies Inc., which is developing a wastewater treatment system that produces fertilizer as a byproduct; First Juice, which makes low-sugar organic juice for toddlers; and Saber Seven Inc., a year-old ...

The Chesapeake Bay is the nation's largest watershed. At seven thousand square miles it supports more than 36 hundred species of plants, fish and animals, with 15 million people living near its basin.
While it's one of the world's most important watersheds, it's also one of the dirtiest. Recent surveys have revealed more than 80 percent of the water does not contain enough oxygen in the summer, killing fish, crabs, oysters and plant life. The Chesapeake Bay Initiative, a multi-state agreement, was developed to change that.
As part of the agreement, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia have agreed to reduce nitrogen and phosphorous discharge into the bay area by 2010. Over 70 wastewater facilities will have to enhance their nutrient removal process by using more natural methods, like bacteria, instead of harmful chemicals. These efforts are part of a larger commitment to restore the bay to its original condition.

A number of scientific studies have found Prozac and other pharmaceutical drugs in streams, rivers and even the drinking water in some places.
There pharmaceuticals can not be filtered out through the wastewater treatment plants and so are simply dumped in the environment and eventually make their way into the wild life.
The effects of these drugs on the wild life has included retarded development, reproductive problems, male fish developing female genitalia and inhibited growth.
Traces of Prozac have been found in the liver, brain tissue and muscle tissue of fish.
