In the late hours, when the city was sleeping in the dim light, and only the neon signs were quietly flickering, he woke up – the Echo Sounder of the Night. No one knew his name, no one knew where he came from. Sometimes you just thought you heard a soft hum, as if the wind itself was carrying a melody.
That evening he was wandering around among the shelves of a small, almost empty supermarket. The few people who were still shopping did not notice him. But he heard them – every whisper, every thought, every laugh. From these voices he formed his stories.
A young woman was mindlessly humming a song while selecting apples. An elderly man quietly muttered the names of his grandchildren. Two teenagers were arguing half-heartedly about which snack was the best. For the world, they were just everyday sounds. For him, it was sparks.
And so a new song was born inside him – a song about longing, courage and quiet everyday moments that are often overlooked. A song that interweaved into a whole story with unusual ease.
When he left the store, only a delicate reverberation remained, like a barely perceptible echo in the night. People continued to follow their paths, not knowing that they had become part of a song.
The Echo Sounder of the Night smiled. The night was full of voices. And he was ready to listen to them.
