KY, Truth, V Le Cruz and Tim Of E are âÂÂFace ValueâÂÂ. They are going to be bigger than the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix put together. The bandâÂÂs manager, âÂÂDrâ Sam Weston, has an agenda that will take them to the top, but is there more to WestonâÂÂs plan than meets the eye?! Recently named one of Rolling Stones top 25 artists on MySpace, singer-songwriter Shannon Hurley is making good on their word. This Indiana-born musician has been playing music all her life, being brought up in a family of singers. Picking up piano at age 8, she then moved on to trombone. She graduated with a music degree from University of Colorado at Boulder, where she became the stage manager for Fox Theatre.
After working with Julian Lennon, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, and Rufus Wainright, she became enamored with songwriting. She studied with Pat Leonard (hit songwriter for Madonna) and moved to Los Angeles is 2001. Shannon is a sought-after session musician and spent 2005 touring with Universal Motown artist Brie Larson. This has given her the opportunity to open for Jesse McCartney, Gwen Stefani, and The Black-Eyed Peas.
I like the old Stones songs. What they do nowadays should be forbidden but in the old days they were cool. My mom had a 45" of this tune and as a kid I loved this song. Me and my sister used to play airguitar when we put it on the old plastic turntable and jump around the room. I used my little Fender amp to record one guitartrack and I also plugged the mic in there to record the vocals and used the headphone jack to send the signal to my Edirol soundcard. I wanted an old-fashioned sound. I put a bit of pre-amp on the Fender so the vocals are a tiny bit distorted to make it more oldies-sounding. Drums and bass were programmed in Reason as usual. The bass constantly doing the high A and B notes on the D string which I love. Gives it more energy and that buzzing sound. I also put an organ in it because I couldn't figure out what the hell Brian Jones and Keith Richard were playing on their guitars, so to hell with difficult guitar parts and let the organ fill it up a bit. I don't use tabs. I don't even know how to read them. Too difficult. For the verses I only put 1 vocal track. In the chorus I added a couple of vocal tracks. Also put in some handclaps. For the video I taped some of my gear and put it in there, otherwise it's pretty boring just to stare at myself standing there singing :-)

John Richmond presented a more composed and serious men’s wear collection this season. The show opens with numerous velvet suits (midnight blue, purple, black) with bell-bottomed trousers. Then it follows the more rock’n’roll edge dear to the English designer who has pinpointed his inspiration as Bryan Jones from the Rolling Stones. Embroideries and glitz appear on the evening outfits where the dandy chic look gains the upper hand.
I know I've heard that aphorism somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't find the citation. Regardless, I was struck with gritty intensity and even "beauty" (of a sort) of this alley the first time I walked it. One feels like Pink Floyd or the Rolling Stones ought to be playing on a rooftop. I love this alley. This may become a series, but so far none of the other alleys I've walked have been so intense and stunning.
