This coming March, Leysin will open its doors for the 23rd time to this cult freestyle winter sports event. The Leysin Champs Open unveils some new additions: after 4 years of absence Freesking makes a comeback and gets back into the action along side the Snowboarders for a Winner Takes All 'open' competition. In Parallel, several renowned international freestyle Freeski and Snowboard film productions will be onsite and compete on a whole other level. To celebrate these and even more innovations the theme for the nocturnal activities will be Festive! to say the least.

In Volume #27: Painting Nocturnes: The Brooklyn Bridge, Hall teaches the beginning art student the techniques that are essential for creating dazzling nocturnal cityscapes. Prior to painting the main Brooklyn Bridge piece, he discusses five of his larger nocturnes and then teaches several foundation color theory concepts. Hall then moves on to the main demonstration painting, where he teaches one how to establish the foundation architectural and landscape forms, mix warm and cool colors, and then illustrates in great detail how the vast array of colored city lights are actually made to appear luminous within the darkness. Within each phase of the demonstration, the student is able to view enlarged sections of the same reference painting that Hall is looking at while he paints--all within the same screen!

Half of human life is consumed only through sleep. All that's left are used for waking hours. Some people achieve this bar, others exceed. But there are those who don't and who simply cant.

When you're filming nocturnal animals, birds or insects, you will seem more like a scientist than a filmmaker. You know you can't film without some sort of light. Thankfully, modern security camera equipment (especially night vision cameras) have come down in price and can take care of that problem. But you also want to film animals behaving naturally. They won't do that if they can see or sense the security camera equipment in their territories. So you need to figure out how to hide your security camera equipment in order not to startle your subjects.
Lions - Spy In the Den
One ground-breaking BBC documentary on African lions, Lions - Spy In The Den (2001), came up with a brilliant way of hiding security camera equipment. They disguised it in a remote control fake boulder. It took a couple of weeks for the lion prides to get used to an unusually fast boulder following them about, but they soon ignored it. It became part of their natural landscape. They were able to get extraordinary night shots - but also shots in the daytime. Although it seemed that we couldn't learn anything more about lions, bouldercam did.familyhomeHome Improvementsafetysecurity
In the nocturnal world of the social elite, behind the sex, seduction, power, and intrigue, very little is known to the public, and people are always killing for scandal. Yearning for a glimpse inside, the media is always closely lurking. Rumors circulate, serious accusations are made, and one unnamed, high-profile politician leaves his daughter one seriously messed up voicemail! Because clearly, all the stimulants pushing this crowd deep into the night must be illegal - beeeeeeeeeeeep - or are they?
A recent survey discovered that only 20% of us are getting 8 hours sleep a night. Many of us are suffering from so-called "junk sleep" where we are disturbed up to 90 times a night. A leading cause of this was found to be night cramps, with 80% suffering from these painful muscle spasms. These occur because the muscle is already contracted when something stimulates it to contract further, causing the spasms. This causes soreness that can last for days and can disturb your sleep. Crampex tablets help to treat and prevent nocturnal muscle cramp, one of the main causes of interrupted sleep. Crampex contains calcium gluconate to help correct any calcium deficiency that could lead to cramp, cholecalciferol to aid calcium absorption and nicotinic acid to improve poor peripheral circulation. Crampex costs from ã4.45 for a pack of 24 tablets and is available over the counter from pharmacies. Always read the label. For further tips on a good nightâÂÂs sleep, visit www.goodsleepadvice.com
July 8 2009 Lake County Illinois,Wind NNE 2mph. 63 degrees. 8:30pm. Hunting Mature Whitetail's in velvet with night vision video camera. It's been tough to find mature whitetail's the last few day so I was trying to take advantage of every bit of shooting light available. I was just about to call it a night when this mature buck walked under my stand. I had to use my night vision for this nocturnal old buck that seemed to sense I was within 15 yards of him. Watch this deer lick his nose to keep it moist, which helps odor particles stick to it, improving his sense of smell.........Captured ONLY on www.HawgNSonsTV.Com

“Swamp Stalker: airs Wednesday February 18th at 9 PM - In the marshy swamp land of Texarkana a legendary beast has hunted the residents of a small Arkansas town. Their story was immortalized in a well known movie, The Legend of Boggy Creek. The real events were a series of violent nocturnal attacks that left behind not only fear and panic, but also remarkable tracks. But the evidence is not just confined to history. Scientific clues continue to this day, and point to a malevolent monster that stalks the Deep South, with physical encounters by trained trackers and discoveries of tracks and scat. The strongest evidence will be examined using the latest scientific testing and two MonsterQuest teams isolate the search area using both kayaks and horse-back, penetrating deep into territory that may be the home of the swamp stalker.
Expedition divers will travel to the Cayman Islands to explore the Cayman Trench aboard a deep sea submersible. Divers will also examine the shallow coral reef and its nocturnal residents. In addition, this program will document the progress of a former Soviet warship sunk as an artificial reef off the coast of Cayman Brac. The rays of 'Stingray City' will also be featured.

The first volume in The Edgar Allan Poe Collection contains some excellent adaptations of Poe's work including George Higham's award winning stop-motion animation short film inspired by the poem Annabel Lee.
Annabel Lee is quintessential Poeâa haunted soul, a lost love and the nocturnal grave-quest. The epic quality of this Orphic adventure includes expressionist visions of a lone figure on a journey through a nightmarish landscape in order to be re-united with his lost love... but first he must overcome the wrath of the "Envious Angels" that ruined his world.
The DVD also contains the short films The Raven by Peter Bradley, The Tell-Tale Heart by Alfonso S. Suarez featuring a performance by European horror legend Paul Naschy, an interview with Poe expert Paul Clemens, and making of featurettes.
