This video discusses the reasons why Christianity has not become widespread in Japan.
---
### Key Points from the Video
* **Characteristics of the Japanese People**
* The speaker claims that the Japanese people have mixed ancestry from various groups like the Yayoi, Ainu, Kumaso, and Ryukyu, and may possess ancient genes that differ from those of continental peoples.
* Japan is described as a poor country where the concepts of "justice" and "evil" are fundamentally absent, leading to a strong emphasis on self-preservation.
* This poverty, according to the video, means that Japanese people lack the capacity to think about "justice," and are more interested in tangible benefits than philosophical concepts.
* The video suggests that unlike people on the continent, the Japanese have a culture of "killing by ignoring" rather than by directly killing someone. The idea is that wrongdoers will naturally die from disasters, so there's no need to take direct action against them, as seen in the lack of help for others during a disaster. This is why the Japanese appear outwardly calm.
* The speaker states that the Japanese people lack a sense of ethics. To avoid conflict, they use a "tatemae," or facade. This "tatemae" is what Westerners might call "justice," but it is a lie, as evidenced by the perceived normalcy of infidelity in Japan. For example, in Japan, no one helps disabled or vulnerable people who are being bullied, because all Japanese people share the common understanding that such people are a burden and deserve to die.
* Japanese comics are described as being for children and are a form of "tatemae," similar to Santa Claus.
* **Developmental Disabilities and Japanese Society**
* The video argues that people with developmental disabilities cannot lie and find it difficult to live as "evil" people, so they are naturally inclined to live according to "justice."
* However, because the concept of "justice" is weak in Japanese society, people with developmental disabilities are said to struggle to live there.
* Japan is characterized as a highly sophisticated "society of deterrence" rather than an individualistic or competitive one.
* In this society, it's considered normal for the weak to take from the strong. Since there's no concept of "justice," there is no one to protect the vulnerable.
* The speaker claims that fewer Japanese people have traits associated with developmental disabilities, such as a need for routine, a lack of bias, limited imagination, a robotic nature, and creative thinking. The video suggests these traits are far more common in Westerners, possibly due to factors like sunlight exposure, vitamin D levels, and gut flora. This is why developmental disabilities are not well-understood in Japan.
* The term "kawaii" (cute) is analyzed as a term used to justify bullying, reflecting a culture that dehumanizes others and sees them as objects to be treated however one wishes.
* The video suggests that while the status of Japanese women isn't necessarily lower than in other countries, this very fact may have led to a culture of "male chauvinism" where men treat women more harshly.
* The conclusion for people with developmental disabilities in Japan is that their only options are to move abroad or find a place within Japan where a codependent culture can be established.
* **Herbal Teas and Other Brews**: Tomayoko discusses various teas and drinks she has at home, including Sarashia tea, which she dislikes, and a mint tea brewed from her own garden mint. She also shows various herbal concoctions, such as a dokudame (lizard's tail) tincture in shochu and a brew for stopping hair loss.
* **Developmental Disabilities and Gender Identity**: She shares her perspective on the terms "developmental disability" and "transgender". She believes "developmental disability" is a misnomer, preferring "developmental characteristic leading to adjustment disorder" because it is not a disability but a unique trait. She criticizes those with developmental characteristics who claim not to struggle, attributing their ease to external factors like parental support or a good school environment. She also touches on the struggles of transgender individuals, viewing them as experiencing adjustment disorder as well.
* **Gender Roles in Japanese Society**: The creator questions the concept of a "male-dominated society" in Japan. She suggests that physical labor is a male strength, while communication-based jobs like sales might be better suited for women. She wonders why men still dominate professions like sales. She argues that if men feel constrained by the need to create space for women in the workforce, they should consider roles that play to their strengths, even if it means working overseas.
* **Japanese National Character**: Tomayoko discusses the unique national character of Japan, attributing it to its island geography and frequent natural disasters. She argues that this has led to a society where philosophical and idealistic concepts like religion and deep philosophy do not easily take root. Instead, a focus on practicality and immediate usefulness has emerged. She describes this as a "group fascism" where conformity is valued to avoid conflict.
* **The Japanese Language**: She expresses her newfound appreciation for the Japanese language, considering it to have a special depth and value compared to other languages like English. She suggests that while foreigners might not want to live in Japan due to its demanding societal norms, they should still consider studying the Japanese language for its own merits.
* **Personal Feelings**: She concludes by stating that she wishes she had been born in a country with fewer natural disasters and conflicts, like Germany or England.

Note: This straightforward female traditional disco single version of this song is with only Janis Siegel singing alone a la Debbie Jacobs, Evelyn Thomas, Miquel Brown, Gloria Gaynor and Thelma Houston in the powerhouse disco style of Ian Levine & Fiachra Trench.
The text describes a "straightforward female traditional disco single version" of "Twilight Zone/Twilight Tone" by Manhattan Transfer, featuring Janis Siegel singing alone in a "powerhouse disco style of Ian Levine & Fiachra Trench" reminiscent of artists like Debbie Jacobs, Evelyn Thomas, Miquel Brown, Gloria Gaynor, and Thelma Houston.[1] This suggests a focus on the vocal performance and the production style.
The Manhattan Transfer and "Twilight Zone/Twilight Tone"
The Manhattan Transfer is an American vocal group known for their diverse musical styles, including jazz, pop, and disco. Their song "Twilight Zone/Twilight Tone" was released in 1979 and became a notable disco hit.[2] The song is a medley of two distinct pieces: "Twilight Zone" (a vocal adaptation of the theme from the television series The Twilight Zone) and "Twilight Tone" (an original disco composition).[3] While the group typically features multiple vocalists, the description specifically highlights a version where Janis Siegel, one of the group's female vocalists, performs solo.
Janis Siegel's Vocal Style
Janis Siegel is a renowned vocalist, celebrated for her powerful and versatile voice. Her ability to deliver a "powerhouse disco style" aligns with the characteristics of many prominent female disco singers of the era.[4] This style often involves strong, clear vocals, a wide vocal range, and an energetic delivery suitable for dance music.
Ian Levine & Fiachra Trench's Production Style
Ian Levine is a prolific British record producer and songwriter, particularly known for his work in the disco and Hi-NRG genres.[5] Fiachra Trench is an Irish composer, arranger, and producer who has also contributed significantly to various musical styles, including disco.[6] Their combined production style is often associated with a classic, high-energy disco sound, characterized by prominent basslines, driving rhythms, and lush orchestral arrangements. The comparison to their style suggests that this particular version of "Twilight Zone/Twilight Tone" would feature these production hallmarks.
Comparison to Other Disco Artists
The mention of Debbie Jacobs, Evelyn Thomas, Miquel Brown, Gloria Gaynor, and Thelma Houston provides a strong contextual framework for the vocal style. These artists are all iconic figures in disco music, known for their powerful female vocals and their contributions to the genre's golden age.[7]
Debbie Jacobs: Known for hits like "Don't Stop the Music."[8]
Evelyn Thomas: Famous for "High Energy."[9]
Miquel Brown: Best known for "So Many Men, So Little Time."[10]
Gloria Gaynor: An undisputed disco queen, famous for "I Will Survive."[11]
Thelma Houston: Achieved massive success with "Don't Leave Me This Way."[12]
These comparisons reinforce the idea that the described version of "Twilight Zone/Twilight Tone" is a classic, high-energy disco track with a strong female lead vocal.

Monday, 28th April 1913 - Apprehended as the Maiden’s Murderer [JOHN M. GANTT], Atlanta Georgian reports the detention of J. M. Gantt, a former National Pencil Company bookkeeper, accused of murdering 14-year-old Mary Phagan, found strangled on April 26, 1913, in the factory basement. Arrested in Marietta, Gantt told a Georgian reporter he was innocent, claiming he was home at 284 East Linden Street after a parade, ball game, getting shoes with Leo Frank and Newt Lee, and pool with Arthur White and O.G. Bagley until 10:30 p.m. His landlady, Mrs. F. C. Terrell, denied seeing him for three weeks. Gantt’s appearance matched Edgar L. Sentell’s midnight observation with Phagan. The Atlanta Georgian detailed the case—Lee’s discovery, Mullinax’s custody, Skipper’s account of three men with a dazed girl—leading to factory closure and the Leo Frank investigation’s escalation, amid 1913 Atlanta’s racial tensions.
Monday, 28th April 1913 - Trio of Youngsters Observed Steering a Faltering Maiden [Unnamed Observers], Atlanta Georgian offers a crucial clue in the probe of 13-year-old Mary Phagan’s murder, her body found strangled on April 26, 1913, at the National Pencil Company. E. S. Skipper, residing at 224 1/2 Peters Street, informed Atlanta police on this Monday that around 10 p.m. Saturday, he witnessed three flashily dressed young men guiding a weeping, faltering girl matching Phagan’s description on Forsyth Street. He noted her possible drug-induced state and reluctance, countered by the men’s persistence, and trailed them from Pryor Street near Trinity Avenue to Whitehall, then toward Mitchell Street, before heading to Terminal Station, able to identify them. Adam Woodward, night watchman at 35 Forsyth Street, reported screams around 11 p.m., aligning with Skipper’s story and suggesting Phagan’s coercion. This Atlanta Georgian article, amid the Leo Frank case’s start, highlighted 1913 Atlanta’s racial and social unrest.
12-Year-Old Girl Vera Epps Wails for Slain Mary Phagan, Atlanta Georgian, Mon, Apr 28, 1913, Atlanta, GA captures the anguished cries of 12-year-old Vera Epps, a playmate of 13-year-old Mary Phagan, murdered on April 26, 1913, at the National Pencil Company. Living at 246 Fox Street, adjacent to Phagan’s, Vera’s tearful fury emerged in the Atlanta Georgian as she stated, “I’d help lynch the man that killed poor Mary,” wishing to “hold the rope” in vengeance. The horrific sight of Phagan’s bruised, swollen face, barely recognizable, left her in hysterics, her childish mind reeling from the violence. She lauded Phagan’s goodness, their daily games, and her avoidance of men, a detail that intrigued investigators. Vera’s racial note, “It’s a heap worse for a white man,” reflected 1913 Atlanta’s biases. Recalling their Thursday play with Lillian Waignel, carving “M. P.,” her wails underscored their bond. Her testimony, as the Leo Frank case unfolded, voiced a community’s outrage.

Army Men 2 - Mission 4 - Airborne
We arrived at Maynard airport and it's under attack. We must clear the area of Tan soldiers and Tan armored units.
In Army Men and Army Men 3D, the commander of the Tan army, Plastro, invades Green territory. Sarge fights against the Tan forces, and at the end of the game, he discovers a strange portal that he enters, ending up in a gigantic kitchen.
Army Men 2 begins with a massive Tan force, including Plastro himself, chasing him through the portal. Major Mylar betrays Plastro, destroys the portal upon entry, and takes control of the Tan army and territories when Plastro is declared missing.
Army Men II is a real-time tactics (RTS) game, developed and published by The 3DO Company for Microsoft Windows and Game Boy Color.
The game differs from the first installment as it features battles in both the "real world" and the "plastic world." It was also the first to introduce the concept of portals between the real world and their world (the plastic world), a theme that was expanded in later games.
It is the sequel to both the original Army Men and Army Men 3D on PlayStation 1, which shared the same storyline as Army Men 1.

Army Men: World War - Mission 4
Mission: Breakout
Mission briefing:
- Sneak into the prison camp and free three Green prisoners. One prisoners must survive. Get them out of the camp to a waiting chopper.
- Entra sigilosamente en el campo de prisioneros y libera los tres prisioneros Verdes. Al menos un prisionero debe sobrevivir. Sáquelos del campamento y llévelos a un helicóptero que los espera.
World War has been declared. The Green and Tan nations have broken off peace talks. There is no choice but to prepare for a full-scale battle. Only after storming the shores of the enemy homeland, traversing dense jungles, and securing war-torn cities does final victory await. Dive back into the trenches. Real combat. Plastic men.
Plot: In the sequel to the best-selling Army Men and Army Men 3D, you lead the Green Army in a fierce battle against your nemesis: the Tan. Carefully guide your troops through a deadly barrage of enemy fire in over 16 missions covering five different terrains. Only the best military minds will prevail in this fiery ground infantry battle. There are plenty of weapons at your disposal: blast away with the howitzer, shred plastic with the twin .50-caliber machine gun, or silently stab the enemy with your sharp bayonet. Never before has plastic warfare reached this size and scale.
Summary: Army Men: World War or Army Men: Operation Meltdown in Europe is a third-person shooter (real-time tactical RTS in the Microsoft Windows version). It is a video game developed and published by The 3DO Company for PlayStation and Microsoft Windows. This game began its own Army Men World War subseries. This game focuses solely on combat in the Plastic World, and most missions are based on World War II. Some fans consider the World War games to be prequels to the main games (Army Men, Army Men II, and Toys in Space). It was released for PlayStation and PC in 2000; however, the two versions of the game are very different from each other.
PlayStation version: The PlayStation version is a third-person shooter similar to Army Men 3D with a heavy emphasis on fast-paced combat and critical thinking. Unlike Sarge's Heroes, the player can use vehicles during the campaign and has a more realistic and gritty tone than many of the Army Men games.
PC version: The PC version plays more like its predecessors (Army Men, Army Men II, and Toys in Space) but with more focus on soldier management. This version of the game was often considered the best Army Men multiplayer by the fanbase for its robust gameplay that allowed for many strategic options.
Wield a devastating arsenal of World War II weaponry, including grenades, mortars, bayonets, howitzers, flamethrowers, assault rifles, bazookas, and twin .50-caliber machine guns. Command tanks, jeeps, and boats when the situation calls for heavy firepower or increased mobility.

In Army Men and Army Men 3D, the commander of the Tan army, Plastro, invades the Green territory.
Army Men II is a real-time tactics (RTS) game developed and published by The 3DO Company for Microsoft Windows and Game Boy Color. The game differs from its predecessor in that it features battles in both the "real world" and the "plastic world." It was also the first to introduce the concept of portals between the real world and their world (the plastic world), a theme that was expanded in later games. It is the sequel to both the first Army Men and Army Men 3D on PlayStation 1, which shared the same storyline as Army Men 1.
