(1920) In this silent film, abandoned by her fiancée, an educated African-American woman, with a shocking past, dedicates herself to helping a near bankrupt school for impoverished African-American youths. The film portrays the contemporary racial situation in the United States during the early twentieth century, the years of Jim Crow, the revival of the Ku Klux Klan, the Great Migration of blacks to cities of the North and Midwest, and the emergence of the "New Negro". It was part of a genre called race films. Evelyn Preer, Director: Oscar Micheaux.

This is Sam Franzes version live with Adam Price and Peter Cosimo at their recent fathers day show 2012. When the summer is come and gone As the leaves fall on the lawn I think about pleasures pass me bye And I am thinking of my old home And the love I left behind No I couldn't I go back there if I try On my next go round I'm gonna keep it to The dreams we new Before I broke them down Gonna take your hand Wanna be the man Who pulls you from the ground I won't let you down On my next go round We were standing on the edges Of a thousand burning bridges Sifting through the ashes every day What we thought would never end Now is nothing more than a memory The way things were before I lost my way On my next go round I'm gonna keep it to The dreams we new Before I broke them down Gonna take your hand Wanna be the man Who pulls you from the ground I won't let you down On my next go round Now the winds are blowing steady My bags are awful heavy I wish that I could stop and turn around But there are no second chances In a world of circumstances Oh in this life you don't get no next round On my next go round Gonna start again Gonna let you in Gonna lay our burdens down Gonna be the one to never turn and run I'll always be around I won't let you down On the next go round I won't let you down On the next go round

There are many individuals who are interested in quick and relatively pain-free rejuvenating treatments. Dr. Daniel E. Rousso performs facial injectables and fillers to help achieve a more youthful appearance. These can be performed in only a matter of minutes and require minimal downtime. Botox is a popular injectable to treat wrinkles and lines in the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes (“crow’s feet”). It has been used for over 10 years as a cosmetic treatment and can provide excellent results when performed correctly. Dr. Rousso also offers other injectables, such as Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, and Sculptra. These may last from six months to two years based on the injectable used. The most commonly treated areas include the nasolabial folds and lips. An injectable filler can help plump wrinkles and areas that have lost volume, such as the cheeks.

Three days later on November 16th, Bruce Springsteen appeared on Jimmy Fallon for the entire show, doing two interview segments and performing three songs. The first was actually a duet with his host, a funny cover of "Whip My Hair" (the breakout viral hit for the 10 year old Willow Smith) followed by "Because The Night" and "Save My Love". it looked like the Roots were having a fantastic time jamming along with these numbers, as did Steven Van Zandt.

On a project I've been working on at AMS Pictures, http://op.amspictures.com The Real Great Debaters of Wiley College tells the inspiring true story of the 1935 Wiley College debate team. Under the tutelage of their dynamic coach, Melvin B. Tolson, three young debaters from a small black college in the Jim Crow South managed, against all odds, to defeat the all-white reigning national championship team. Their stunning achievement shattered racial stereotypes and earned them the lasting respect of their peers⦠and the nation.
